Michael Mizrachi wins the 2025 WSOP Main Event

Michael Mizrachi wins 2025 WSOP Main Event and Poker Players Championship in the same year, and he's also inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame!

In a year that will go down as one of the greatest in poker lore, Michael Mizrachi etched his name into the history books with a dominant wire-to-wire victory at the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event. With this monumental win, worth a staggering $10 million, Mizrachi didn't just capture the game's most coveted bracelet; he sealed his place in the Poker Hall of Fame and pulled off an accomplishment few ever dreamed possible.

Fresh off his record-setting fourth Poker Players Championship earlier this summer, "The Grinder" returned to the felt with chips on hand and fire in his heart. Sitting behind a mountain of chips heading into the Final Table, Mizrachi wasted no time asserting his dominance.

The tone was set early. In one of the tournament's most pivotal hands, Mizrachi spiked an ace on the river to crack Robert Wasnock's pocket kings - an emotional blow that would shape the rest of the final showdown. From that moment, Mizrachi rode a wave of momentum few could challenge.

With over 75% of the chips in play to start the final day, Mizrachi made it look easy. On just the first hand, Kenny Hallaert moved all-in with ace-queen offsuit, slightly ahead of Mizrachi's king-jack suited, but a jack on the turn sent Hallaert to the rail in fourth place, collecting $3 million. One hand later, Braxton Dunaway shoved with ten-six suited, only to be called by Mizrachi's ace-ten suited. The ace held, and suddenly it was down to two.

Heads-up play began with Mizrachi holding a commanding lead over Wasnock, who had earned $6 million for his second-place finish. Although the duel lasted several hands, the final blow came when Wasnock flopped two pair with ace-nine, only to be outdrawn by Mizrachi's turned flush holding ten-three suited. With all the chips in the middle by the turn, the river brought no salvation for Wasnock, and no mercy from Mizrachi.

When the dust settled, Mizrachi stood alone atop the poker world, hoisting the Main Event bracelet, valued at half a million dollars, and claiming the largest share of the $90.5 million prize pool.

As the celebration began, a surprise visit from poker royalty turned the moment into something even more unforgettable. Legends like Phil Ivey, Brian Rast, Phil Hellmuth, and John Hennigan appeared at the feature table to deliver news that sent shockwaves through the room: Mizrachi, by unanimous vote, would become the 65th member of the Poker Hall of Fame.

"Mizrachi has completed what might be the most impressive feat in poker history by winning the two most difficult tournaments to win in the same year," said WSOP CEO Ty Stewart. "Welcome to the Gallery of Champions and welcome to the Poker Hall of Fame."

Nine WSOP bracelets. Two of the toughest events won in the same year. A banner in the Horseshoe Las Vegas. And now, a forever spot among the game's legends.

The Grinder didn't just win in 2025. He absolutely conquered the game!
