Well hoodi from your list I have to go with Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam love that song "Just Breathe" Thumbs Up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eo-UKCxCglg but as far as the best rock n' roll singer and this guy can wail is Steven Tyler from Aerosmith no one sings like him IMO but a great poll because there are so many great musicians. Smile

Check this song out "I don't want to miss a thing" Aerosmith

Basically like them all! Each have their own style; Also, like Klaus Mein from Scorpions, Llike Axle Rose, but he's a butthead, Like Scott Wyland from STP / Velvet Revolver, Like Sebastion Bach from Skid Row, Rob Thomas from Matchbox 20 and so many more. Chris Cornell is my vote from your list. Cool Thread! Man your on it! Good Luck to all!

From the list it has to be Robert Plant I gotta Whole Lotta Love for him, would expect him t bring it on home providing there is no Communication Breakdown it should be Celebration Day for him unless people are Dazed And Confused wich would be a Custard Pie in his face, leaving his Friends to make you run For Your Life perhaps im Rambling On now well thats Nobody's Fault But Mine..
Some outhers that spring to mind Anthony Kiedis,syd barrett,Steven Tyler,Josh Homme,Chris Cornell,David Gilmour,Brian Johnson,Roger Waters,Michael Hutchence,Thom Yorke...and not sure for female..kinda not rock or are they? Debbie Harry(true rock),Gwen Stefani,Alanis Morissette,Kate Bush--still lover her.

Not arguing but Axl Rose doesn't even come close to a guy like Steven Tyler as far as singing and he's an a@@ and no class like Tyler. It's sad because his mouth and actions ruins things for the band because they got talent but he spoils it. There is a video below of him walking off the stage all over a dude with a camera and he has done this a couple times before, I never seen any other musician ever walk off the stage Axl needs to grow up.

http://www.guzer.com/videos/axl_walks_off.php check this out a real piece of work friggin baby

Axl got sued in St.Louis, for punching a guy trying to take his picture, he's an arrogant self important a*****e, and I would never vote for him or put him on my list, I 'm ashame he's even mentioned in this thread. To all: There were just too many choices, hence the answer other! Can't believe some of the singer's I spaced on(Axl not a singer IMO, he's a sideshow). BTW Robert PLant and Maynard are very close on my list, followed by Bob Dylan(greatest songwriter ever), Chris Cornell, and prolly my personal favorite lately, some good ole Bob Marley. One good thing about music, when it hits you feel okay. So hit me with Music, brutalize me with music Cool

Yeah hoodi I'm an oldtime Zepplin fan, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Jackson Browne, Aerosmith, Pearl Jam, Doors, and the lists goes on and on but I saw Jennifer Nettles from Sugarland has been singing with Bon Jovi and they sound awesome together. Jennifer Nettles not only can she sing her a@@ off man she's one hot babe. You know that thing there doing called Crossroads now where different artists play together like John Mayer and Keith Urban played together they were great together. Just check youtube out for this. I will give my vote to Freddie (even though I am a big U2 fan).
But Queen (and especially Freddie) is in my opinion one of the greatest Rockband ever.
(Although Freddies teeth were not the prettiest ones Big Smile )

Actually, why the best singer of 'rock band' couldn't be... a woman?

Who will vote for TARJA TURUNEN from Nightwish (till 2005)...? As for me, She is Angel of Music, watch this for example and find out it the hard way:

And... what do you say...?
