been playing with both lately and my self id rather play with pros or great players,cauz you can put them on a range of cards,whereas when i pllay donks i get bad beats cauz they call everything,there range of cards are higher,and they aint scared of raises.

Hard choice, pros and cons for both, but overall i think id rather play donks HU or 6 man, full ring would just be a gamble. But saying this even pros play like donks at times :}

Pros and cons, yeah.. but I think I would pick the donk. The pro would probably beat you in the long run, where the donk will mostly win when he's lucky and making bad calls, which eventually will cause him to loose. I think

The donk. And it is not even close. Yes, he may put some bad beats on you, but usually the money went the right way. And remember, against the pros we are the donks.

I woudnt mind playing some great pro, so I could learn some stuff and invest some money. After that I would play donk and get it all back with benefits

actually i agree wiv scl1975. i think this is a much better question than you give it credit for. pros only play reasonably gd players if they can cos they can read these ppl. i completely disagree wiv avalon who says they are easily bluffed. you find they call ur ace high bluff all in wiv bottom pair when they havnt put hardly anything in the pot. it is impossible to bluff an idiot most of the time. you cant tell if they are bluffin and wen u think theyv just gone in wiv nothin u call wiv middle cards like say 9s and they end up hitting. wen u turn the game completely into luck i find i always lose to some lucky git. if they suck out a couple of pots they become big stack and then u find u have to wait for good cards to take em on so they nick the blinds u make the call at the wrong time and thats it. i tend to play fast rebuy tourneys so donks who keep rebuying completely spoil my game. atleast i can enjoy the game wiv pros cos if they beat me its fair n square by someone who knows how to play

I rather play pros then donks because donks just never stop getting lucky on me. At least i will know that whatever move i make against a pro i should be careful, but against a donk the imaginable happens they win with the stupidest hand and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. Its actually pretty pathetic, There is no move you can do preflop that will prevent a bad beat from happening. The only move you can do is fold.

You will lose to a player better than you in the long run and win vs a player worse than you. So if you like to lose pick the pro if you want to win pick the donk.
All poker players who takes their game serious play in games they think they can beat. Never sit in a game where you exspect to lose(which you will vs the pro only a matter of time) and that is just stupid.

like i said no online poker only no limit poker at casino,and home games,i regularily win the casino,where as on the low limits i get creamed,yes it is the level you play,was a serious question.what you see onb tv aint the same ,they tournament pros which is different to cash game pros.different types of player.

As i understand it its not about playing good players or bad players. thats obviously an easy decision. its about playing ppl who dont even understand poker at all or playin a seriously good player.
the best situation is to play someone who is new to poker or not very good at it but someone who understands the meaning of an all in reraise. the ppl who dont know how to fold a hand or dont understand the value of their two pair when there are four clubs in the community cards... they are the donks. you can't beat em. theyd baffle a super computer which calculates odds and analyses every move of its oppenant because you cannot get a read on a donk.
