Dallas-StLouis 02:00 2,30 3,80 2,60 1

Blues team scope: Forward Scottie Upshall was the lone regular who did not participate in practice Wednesday before St. Louis departed for Dallas. Hitchcock said Upshall is fine and is expected to be in the lineup. "Other than Upshall, who needed one more maintenance day, we're 100 percent and good to go," Hitchcock said. The Blues are expected to use the lineup that defeated the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 7. "We knocked the rust off," Hitchcock said. "We had good tempo. Execution was to be expected with two days off, but we got our 50 minutes in and we'll take that and get that pregame skate in tomorrow and we'll be ready to go."

Stars team scope: Dallas right wing Tyler Seguin will miss at least the first two games against the Blues with a lower-body injury. Seguin, who sustained a partially cut Achilles tendon in his left foot on March 17, played in Game 2 of the first round against the Wild but has not played, nor skated, since. Ruff said he wasn't sure when Seguin might start skating. "I really can't [say]," Ruff said. "I don't even have a guesstimate on it. I don't even think it'd be fair if I guessed and if I'm off, everybody else will be wondering, why did he guess that?" Center Jason Spezza did not skate Thursday, but Ruff said it was for a family matter and he will be ready to play.

Washingt-Pittsburgh (1:0) 02:00 2,30 3,80 2,60 1

Penguins team scope: Sheary and Bryan Rust did not participate in Pittsburgh's optional practice Friday, but are expected to play in Game 2. Chris Kunitz was hit in the face by a puck in Game 1 and is day-to-day, according to Sullivan. "There wasn't a lot of time to react the way the puck came to the bench really quick there," Sullivan said. "Hopefully Chris is going to be OK. We think he will be."

Capitals team scope: Washington had an optional practice. After defenseman Dmitry Orlov was benched for most of Game 1, his status for Game 2 could be in question. "Every player wants to play," Orlov said. "I don't know what's going to happen right now, but I hope that I will play."

Dallas(2.ut)-StLouis (1:0) 21:00 2,40 3,80 2,50 1

Blues team scope: St. Louis could insert forward Ryan Reaves into the lineup. Reaves hasn't played since Game 2 against the Blackhawks. Left wing Scottie Upshall was the lone skater not to take part in practice Saturday. Hitchcock said Upshall took a maintenance day and "he'll continue to be maintenance right throughout this series." Reaves was playing fourth-line right wing in place of Steve Ott, who was part of the extra forwards at practice. "All available assets are at our disposal," Hitchcock said. "Let me put it this way: We do not have an injury that would prevent me from making a decision."

Stars team scope: Dallas will be without right wing Patrick Eaves, who coach Lindy Ruff said is day-to-day with a foot injury. Eaves was hit by a point shot from teammate Stephen Johns in the third period of Game 1 and did not return. Eaves did not skate Saturday and was at the practice facility on crutches. Ruff said forward Valeri Nichushkin will play. "Yeah, nothing serious, just a real bad shot [Eaves] took to the leg and should be just day-to-day," Ruff said. "I know it always look serious, but it's all part of the recouping process. ... by the looks of things, I would say questionable unless it comes around, but it's awfully sore." Center Tyler Seguin (Achilles) is out for Game 2. The Stars recalled forwards Brett Ritchie and Curtis McKenzie from Texas of the American Hockey League.

Pittsburgh-Washingt (1:1) 02:00 2,30 3,90 2,70 2

Capitals team scope: Washington will be without defenseman Brooks Orpik, who was suspended three games by the NHL Department of Player Safety on Sunday for a hit to the head of Penguins defenseman Olli Maatta 4:13 into the first period of Game 2. Orpik was penalized for interference on the play. "We've got guys who can fill his role," Winnik said before the suspension was announced. "Who knows what's going to happen for him, but I'm sure everyone's planning for him to not be in the lineup." Defenseman Dmitry Orlov was scratched in Game 2 after a lapse led to a goal from Penguins defenseman Ben Lovejoy in Game 1, tying the game 1-1. Former Pittsburgh defenseman Taylor Chorney replaced Orlov on Saturday and played 10:50 across 19 shifts. Orlov could play in place of Orpik.

Penguins team scope: Maatta likely will not play Monday. Penguins coach Mike Sullivan said Maatta was evaluated Sunday but did not update his status. "I don't have a lot of sense of his availability," Sullivan said. "I'm probably not optimistic, though." Sullivan did not specify which defenseman would replace Maatta if he were unable to play. Defensemen Justin Schultz and Derrick Pouliot are Pittsburgh's two potential options with Schultz the likely choice. "You don't like to see guys go down, but I think we have the guys in here to step up and fill that hole," Schultz said. "Hopefully Olli's OK, but if he has to miss time, me or [Pouliot] will be ready." Goalie Marc-Andre Fleury (concussion) continues to practice, but his status remains unknown. Goalie Matt Murray, 4-1 in the playoffs, will likely start a sixth consecutive game on Monday. Murray made 23 saves in Pittsburgh's 2-1 Game 2 win.

Nashvil-San Jose (0:2) 03:00 2,40 3,80 2,50 1

Sharks team scope: San Jose will keep the same lineup for Game 3 that it has used in its first seven Stanley Cup Playoff games. "We're not changing anything that isn't broke," coach Peter DeBoer said. The Sharks, who are 3-0 on the road in the postseason, said they realize they'll need to ramp up their intensity and level of desperation after being outshot and outhit in Game 2. They also want to play a simpler game, dumping pucks deep and going on the forecheck, a formula they got away from Sunday. The Sharks traveled to Nashville on Monday and stayed off the ice.

Predators team scope: Laviolette liked the way Nashville played in Game 2 despite losing. "We needed to get back to the way we were playing coming off that Game 7 (against Anaheim)," he said. "We had defended really hard, played a lot of defense, and then in Game 1 we just didn't seem to be quite ourselves. I thought tonight was probably the best game since Game 6, and we got going in a north direction into the offensive zone, cycling the puck. Lot of chances from in tight." Special teams have been a problem for the Predators; they are 2-for-31 (6.5 percent) on the power play in the postseason, including 1-for-5 against the Sharks, and their penalty kill is 2-for-5 in this series. Forward Craig Smith returned to the lineup Sunday after missing Game 1 with a lower-body injury. He had seven shots but no points in 16:20 of ice time.

Tip: Nashville to win @ 2,45 Unibet

Playing on tired legs, the Predators got pucks past San Jose goalie Martin Jones only twice in the opener and again on just two occasions in Game 2. Their second lamp-lighter on Sunday required the use of six men, when Rinne was pulled in the midst of a 2-1 (and then 3-1) deficit.

Pittsburgh-Washingt (2:1) 02:00 2,60 4,00 2,70 2

Capitals team scope: Forward Marcus Johansson did not practice Tuesday, one day after being hit by Pittsburgh defenseman Kris Letang late in the first period of Game 3. Trotz said Johansson would be re-evaluated Wednesday. Trotz said physicality has defined this series, but "it'll change as this series goes on." With 4:19 remaining in the first period, Letang delivered the high hit that forced Johansson to leave the game. Johansson returned for the start of the second period. Following the game, Johansson said he never saw Letang coming. Johansson is tied with forward T.J. Oshie for fourth on the Capitals with seven points in nine games in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, trailing defenseman John Carlson (nine) and forwards Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom (eight).

Penguins team scope: Letang was suspended one game by the NHL Department of Player Safety on Tuesday for his hit on Johansson. With defenseman Olli Maatta recovering from an upper-body injury, defenseman Justin Schultz is expected to play for the first time since playing 5:52 in Game 1 of the the Eastern Conference First Round against the New York Rangers. Following Game 3, Letang said he never intended to injure Johansson and was relieved he was well enough to return for the second period. Schultz said he is prepared to fill in for Letang, who averages a Penguins-high 29:13 of ice time per game through eight playoff games. "It's all about the winning and the team," Schultz said. "But you definitely want to step in and have an impact if you get the chance and prove a lot of people wrong." Forward Bryan Rust is day-to-day with a lower-body injury sustained blocking two shots 36 seconds into Game 3. Forward Beau Bennett (undisclosed) remains day-to-day and has not been cleared to play, Sullivan said.
