I am patient. No need to rush when I don't have much time to play anyway Blink

You are very very very very very patient ..................... if I win a small bet that over time I raise my bid to win a large sum of money ..... but if you set a goal to learn this game that you're doing everything absolutely right ... good luck

It's been a long time since I posted here so I think it's time for an update. My bankroll is now sitting at around $17.50 after some cash games. I remembered that I had these two missions where I would get $25 cash each if I completed them. I needed t win with every pocket pair in descending order, AA down to 22, at the cash tables. I've finished most of those hands, only have 55, 44, 33 and 22 left. It's just a matter of time really, not that much if a challenge.

The other mission was that I needed to win with every hand starting from pair all the way up to straight flush. Completed that mission except for 4 of a kind and straight flush. That one will most likely take a bit longer to complete but that's also just a matter of time. The more time I put in, the closer I get to finishing it, that's it.

Anyway, while trying to complete these missions I've made about $5-6 profit. That pretty good considering I started the missions expecting to break even and simply earn from the cash prize. I'm usually profitable at the cash tables but it's been a really long time since I played any cash and I've spent some time on the SnG and DoN tables. But it seems like I've still got it! Big Smile

With missions like this it is better to play omaha, where you have more chances to win.
Not easy winning with all the low pairs.
If there is no time limit though on your missions, then you are good, you will get it eventually Smile

Yeah, there's no time limit. My issue is that I really suck at Omaha, I would probably lose my entire bankroll before I complete the mission so I better stick to Hold'em.

Yes very interesting missions you are playing, I am not very often playing person so I probably missed thos promotion, are you talking about party poker? If so then o need to check this promotion, maybe i can do it too, maybe like Mober says playing omaha, i don't play good here, but maybe i be lucky

It is not a hard game to play.
And you do not have to play the game normal if you dont want.
Play the 1 cent games and only call when you have a pair from the ones,
you need to complete the mission. Fold all the rest Smile

@Gerimants
I am talking about PartyPoker. That's he only plays I play. It's not a promotion, it's a mission, meaning anyone can do it at any time. Just go to their mission area and you'll find them. One of them is called Pocket Pairs and the other one I can't remember but they are right next to each other in the software.

@Mober
I could do that but my issue is that I'm not patient enough. I would want to play too many hands so it would just be too risky for me. I'm better off just playing Hold'Em, where I know that I can actually make some money as well, and complete the mission there. That should give me some profit from actual game play and a nice boost from the missions.
Don't get me wrong, you're idea is great! It's just not for me. I know I would make stupid decisions and eventually lose my money before I clear any mission.

Been playing a couple of sessions and my Bankroll now sits at $25.18 so I'm quite happy with that! As you can see, I am profitable at the cash tables, but unfortunately I don't enjoy it as much as DoN. It's a little bit sad maybe since I could easily earn more money by playing cash games but I think that if my heart isn't in it and Í don't think it's fun, I probably won't take time to play.

I'm just hoping that I can finish these missions soon so I can go back to what I actually enjoy playing. I might even go back before I finish to make sure I'm not gonna lose interest.

The most important thing is to do and play the games you are feeling ok with.
Even if the process is longer to reach your goals.
The point is to have steady earnings, going always up Smile
Dont get too hooked with the missions Smile

Complete b******t last session. On about 80% of my all-in hands I was ahead, and villain hit his card on the river 90% of the times! I even lost $10 in one single hand due to that crap. KK with a K79 flop. Villain goes all-in and I call. He had 93 of hearts. The 7 on the flop was a heart. Turn was some random heart and river as well so he got his flush. If I had won that hand, I would have had about $35-40 after this session, now I'm instead looking at about $15 so I'm completely bummed out..

These crappy things are the reason I like DoN's! You never lose more then your buy-in no matter what happens!

I can understand how you feel. All of us have been in situations like that.
And KK for me hasnt been good so far in general.
There is a competition between KK and JJ,as to with which hand i have lost the most all ins Smile

Dont let this take you down. You can bounce back up again. Good luck Thumbs Up

Hello
Do you stop playing or just don't write about your playing? When you play, write something from time to time, a hand and the like. Sometimes players read and it can be useful for them to play them. Best regards. I will also write something on my blog from time to time.

Maybe he had a period when he had a very bad game and he just didn’t want to write about it hoping to return to a good game and to write a good result already .... Or maybe there was just a break in the game .... that too maybe ..... I sometimes take a break from poker for a while
