in the poll I went for million dollar baby. Since I'm a boxer in my free time I just had to watch the movie, never expected it to be so good. a brilliant story with great actors.

for the rest I prefer the classic gangster films like godfather 1,2,3 ; once upon a time in america, scarface, carlito's way, and so on and so on. also the gamblers movies like rounders, smoking aces, 21, ...
and off course the Japanese cult movies like Battle royal 1,2 and itchi the killer, ...

first of in the last 10 years hollywood didnt bring out that many good movies as we all were used to in my opinion. if i have to vote for one in the list then its departed. LOTR trilogy is awesome too.

despit my comment above i miss some movies in your list (as for instance Memento, ok maybe not that known). but as far as i remember they all were blockbusters - and its all a matter of taste Smile

oh yea i now see it....they all got a oscar lol

This is a tough one intentcity4, so many great movies made over the last 10 years but I'll go with the 1st that came to my mind and that is The Matrix 1999. That movie simply revolutionized the way of making action/sci-fi movies. None of all the movies that "steal" effects from The Matrix has done it better imo.

Just a little over 10 years ago my all time best film was. The Usual Suspects:

Following a truck hijack in New York, five conmen are arrested and brought together for questioning. As none of them is guilty, they plan a revenge operation against the police. The operation goes well, but then the influence of a legendary mastermind criminal called Keyser Söze is felt. It becomes clear that each one of them has wronged Söze at some point and must pay back now. The payback job leaves 27 men dead in a boat explosion, but the real question arises now: Who actually is Keyser Söze?

But a close 1st has to be........Trainspotting.........

Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a starter home. Choose dental insurance, leisure wear and matching luggage. Choose your future. But why would anyone want to do a thing like that? Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap!
