The Durrrr Challenge is back

A couple of days ago there was a little action in the durrrr Challenge again but Patrick Antonius and Tom "durrrr" Dwan only managed to play 226 hands before they stopped playing. After these 226 hands Antonius managed to make a $9.5K profit which means that he is now a little over $140K down in total. But the swings that we see in this challenge is really amazing so surely he will be able to turn[...]   Read more » The Durrrr Challenge is back

Perhaps reading the article would answer your question Confused

Many people railing those high stakes games at FTP say that durrrr is a fish Disagree I don't think so, if not he would have not look for that challenge. He's actually making profits from it and I hope he'll keep making it so that people start to regard him differently as a poker player.

Those that think Durrr is a fish are idiots and all of them would get killed by him on a poker table.

Most are just jealous or don't like him personally and are too dumb to separate their feelings towards him and the quality of his play.

All the top players respect his game immensely and I think they are better equipped to judge his game than the dumb a$$ railbirds that are usually begging for money.

Also his results speak for themselves.

I think durrr is not a fish. He s just playing "feeling poker". he don't have a SHC like normal player poker

Yer think its fair to say tom rules the online poker games at the moment, its deffintley his pond that he swims in.
But do you guys think he is as good playing offline?

Well, he has some offline results, though they are not so impressive comparing to on-line play. Talking about challenge, I don't think that Antonius has much chanses here. Even though durrrr's play sometimes seems to be a bit strange, the style of Antonius often can be described by the word 'gambling'. Sometimes he plays really fishy. I guess durrrr may have some more problems with Ivey, but I won't try to predict the result of this battle...

Who knows but I'd like to bet he's still one of the best.

I watched the first episode of High Stakes Poker ( the new Series ) a few days ago and I thought he provided us with some fantastic action. He really was an absolute star when it came to entertainment. He also looked completely at home in that environment, unlike some of the other newcomers.

I've always found him a little creepy and perhaps a little too smug but I don't care if he's gonna play like that. I'm quickly becoming a big fan.

To quote Doyle " Tom's just got more gamble than anyone else, he reminds me a little of myself in my younger years" I trust Doyles' opinion more than most.

His super laggy style reminds me more of Stu Unger but either way I can't wait to see episode two.

shokaku does DB cover offline games? Always thought it was online only.
Gotta say im looking forward to High Stakes Poker, and if doyel is saying that then who am ito argue Blink
I like his play, but he frustrates me (playing live) from wht iv see he is one lucky guy, but i probably dont understand why he does what he does at times so will e intresting to see.
"He also looked completely at home in that environment, unlike some of the other newcomers." yer but he has been playing some of the big boys for a while now so id expect him to be completely at home unlike some of the outhers, also all the hype he gets woud be a real confadence boost.
Time will tell, i think he wont be such a winning player at the live games but lets see.....

Yep. Only online games. And some say, that they miss same games there too.

But high stakes games on Full Tilt are not the same as last year. Guy is missing.

50.000 hands

If i remember correctly Durrr will win 0,5 million, if he ends up ahead, and his opponent 1,5 million, if he makes a profit.

Is Antonius back from Thailand? I think that's why they haven't played much because of the different time zone.
