The World Poker Tour Choctaw Main Event in Durant, Oklahoma, drew a large field of 1,175 players, which boosted the original $2 million guarantee with almost the double.
There were several interesting names on the final table, including Darren Elias going for his third WPT title in a year, WPT Champions Club member Andy Hwand going for his second WPT title, and Mina Greco attempting to become the first woman to win an open buy-in WPT Main Tour event.
Chip counts when the cards got into the air on the final table:

At the end of it all, however, none of the experienced/well-known finalist remained... instead it was WPT rookie Jason Brin (second smallest stack in the beginning of the final table) who stood tall as the winner! Brin, a 42-year-old carpet storeowner from De Soto, Kansas, received $682,975 in prize money and a seat into the season-ending WPT Championship for his victory. It was his first-ever WPT event, but for sure not his last one!
