Here's a short introduction about this season's teams, some predictions and betting advice!
Tottenham Hotspur FC
Last season:
After the record sale of Gareth Bale Spurs spent their new war chest on a bunch of players last season. Players such as Eriksen, Soldado and Lamela were brought in for expensive transfer fees. After a bad autumn Andre Vilas-Boas was fired and replaced by former Spurs player Tim Sherwood. He got the team to perform better but losses like 1-5 vs Man City and 0-4 against Liverpool and Chelsea will be stuck in people’s memories. At least the season ended in a sixth place.
2014/15-season preview:
After last years busy transfer summer, this year has been quieter for Spurs. Swansea duo Ben Davies and Michael Vorm have veen bought in together with English/Portuguese defender Erik Dier. Getting players like Lamela and Soldado to perform on the top of their abilities must be no 1 priority for new coach Mauricio Pochettino.
Player profile:
Mousse Dembele was signed by Fulham from dutch AZ in the summer of 2010 as a striker but under manager Martin Jol he was shifted to a playmaking midfielder role and that experiment turned out quite well. Tottenham decided to pay their London rivals 15 million pound for his services in the summer of 2012 and ever since then he has been a regular performer on their as well as the Belgian national team midfield.
Summary:
After the lost season 12/13, Spurs are now looking for a return to the top four. Pochettino did a good job at Southampton and now it is time for him and Spurs to take the next step.
Prediction:
6th place
Betting suggestion:
Tottenham top 4 finish @4.10
