Boxing legends Mike Tyson (54) and Roy Jones Jr. (51) will get into the ring for an exhibition match with a unique rule-set on Saturday.

Two iconic figures in the world of boxing are going to lock horns on Saturday, November 28 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles - former undisputed heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson versus former four-division world champion Roy Jones Jr.

Entitled "Frontline Battle", the eight-round exhibition bout is the first event of a series produced by Legends Only League and it will be for the newly created WBC Frontline Battle Belt. According to executive director of the California State Athletic Commission Andy Foster, Tyson and Jones won't be wearing headgear and he thinks both boxing greats will be wearing 12-ounce gloves.

There will be no ringside judges, thus, no winner will be announced for the bout which will be eight rounds of two minutes each.

Tyson and Jones Jr. will not wear protective headgear but will wear 12oz gloves, bigger than the usual gloves worn in elite boxing.

If either man is cut, the bout is immediately over.

They each had to sign up to Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency testing before the fight.

Outside of the ring, there will be no judges to score the fight, but instead the World Boxing Council will host Christy Martin, Vinny Pazienza and Chad Dawson viewing remotely to decide the fight result. No official winner will be recorded but the fighter picked by the judges will win a "Frontline Battle Belt" commissioned for the event.

Mike Tyson
Mike Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs) won his first belt the WBC heavyweight title at age 20 when he stopped Trevor Berbick in the second round in November 1986. He went on to take the sweet science by storm, becoming the undisputed champion in 1987 and holding that distinction until 1990 in a stunning upset to James "Buster" Douglas. "Iron Mike" returns to the ring for the first time since a sixth-round stoppage loss to Kevin McBride in June 2005.

Roy Jones Jr.
Roy Jones Jr. (66-9, 47 KOs) is a former four-division world champion who is viewed as one of the most skilled boxers of this generation, winning championships at middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight. Jones won the latter by moving up two weight classes in March 2003 and defeated John Ruiz to claim the WBA belt and becoming the first former middleweight champion to win a heavyweight title in 106 years. Jones' last fight was in February 2018, beating Scott Sigmon by unanimous decision.

dont know what to think about this match and how this fight will finish, but its strange to see myke in ring after 15 years, its just too long period without any fight and ofcourse now when he need money,he will do this kind of things!we had lot of videos in last months, how he train, how he hit in bag,but this doesnt mean anything and we will need to see how he will react in ring with real person!

Mike Tyson needs money anyway and has to make it somehow... to live. His life was one where the wealth was very high at that time but he lost all monery too fast. Roy Jones Jr it was very high with his matches and both had a special talent.

It does not matter if Tyson does it for money or not, what matters is the show that these two great legends of the sport that is boxing will give us, since there will be no judges this will be exciting, hopefully there is a great fight that is at hand. expectation of the world public.

I have this match on one national tv,but its on 4 am in morning on my time,so its too late,so I will wait that they have again match on afternoon!this will start probably later then 4,so who when it will finish and lot of rounds are in front of this two fighters!its same like we had movie with stalone and de niro, where two old boxers have fight!

A lot of people are betting on Mike Tyson, but that doesn't mean he will be a real winner. There is still to fight, the money is a lot for a former boxer (10 million dollars) and little for other, who will win only one. Difference is huge, and who bit Evander Holyfield's ear said: will donate all money to charity.
 geseco1229/11/2020 04:54:33 GMT
Tyson said in an interview that the fight is not for money but because he likes it and also the money he will win will be donated to charity, it is estimated that he will win 10 million dollars, well it is a large amount of money, but not I know if I believe his words to tyson since the money is a lot, I think a percentage will go to charity the other to him.

so as I read, tyson was better,he won it,but couldnt finish it earlier!its strange that in every news that I heard today, they say that he will box again in future and dont know against what boxer, younger then him, because dont think that you can find more boxers in his age, that will go in ring,no matter how much money are in question!
 CALICUL29/11/2020 22:17:41 GMT
This match ended in a draw, even though Mike Tyson could be declared a winner with a small difference, that was visible in the boxing ring. They both complained about pains, but that's boxing. Another match between the same boxers would be beautiful.
 geseco1206/12/2020 20:44:07 GMT
I did not see his fights live, but his replays, and I think there is no one who matches him in his fights tyson is a great fighter with a great punch, he instantly knocked out his opponent, well after a few years out of the rinkg he returns It's a pleasure to see him fight again, this is impressive, it's like going back years and remembering many things.
 dule-vu07/12/2020 00:16:11 GMT
would be good if they will stop with this kind of matches and that they let younger fighters to be in ring and not them to take time and money!this match was enough and everybody wanted to see,but dont know why he will need more of them in future!he have enough ages to enjoy in life and not to train and to fight!
 CALICUL09/12/2020 19:09:57 GMT
Mike Tyson could become an even better boxing, if he didn't end up in jail and have a troubled with drugs or others things in his life. This also brought him some frustration that his form was not so good and for this reason of helplessness he bit the ear of Evander Holyfield. Lol. I'm waiting for next match with Roy Jones Jr.

One of my favorite fighters in boxing is Mike Tyson, I really like his fighting level, to get there he trained very hard, and now he comes back strong, I don't know what the reasons for his return will be but what matters most is his fight, see him again in the ring, and enjoy it like old times.
 CALICUL14/12/2020 19:55:27 GMT
I have no idea why this match ended in a draw, but it probably happened because someone wanted a replay. Money comes out of these things and then those in power take advantage of the opportunity. I hope Mike Tyson wins next time.

fight between two great champions, just for exhibition, I think the fight ended in a draw, it has been a pride to see them fight in the rikg, although some think it was for money, the most important thing is that we saw him fight in the ring, well he has It has been a show for everyone, everyone has their opinion, but it was wonderful.
 CALICUL01/01/2021 10:26:56 GMT
A gesture of great solidarity made by Mike Tyson who decided to donate all his money from this match. Wonderful way of thinking that could be put into practice by many people with potential. The match was nice for their age.
 CALICUL26/08/2021 15:57:07 GMT
I hope that these two people who made history in boxing will fight again soon because time passes. I would personally like Mike Tyson to win this match, if will be one. He had a rich career, but his celebrity caused him big problems in his life and i think he needs a new match, to win and to show that he is still a champion at 55 years old.
