Euro 2020 May Be Moved to December amid Coronavirus Outbreak |

An emergency meeting will be held on Tuesday when vital decisions will be made
A meeting of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) on Tuesday shall discuss the possibility of the Euro 2020 still taking place albeit on a later date due to the scary coronavirus outbreak.
UEFA officials are considering the radical proposal at an emergency meeting on Tuesday March 17 after most events in the world of sports went into lockdown due to the uncontrollable spread of the coronavirus COVID-19 across several continents, according to The Telegraph.
The UEFA videoconference meeting will have representatives from all 55 member associations discuss what is the best way for this dilemma.
The Executive Committee, the decision-making body of the UEFA, must devise a plan on how to finish the various league seasons throughout Europe, with no definitive timeframe on when things would return back to normal. Just like Euro 2020, the Europa League and Champions League finals could also be moved.
Why the meeting was set up
On Thursday, La Liga became the latest European league to get suspended due to the coronavirus. The Spanish top-flight has been suspended for "at least the next two rounds of matches".
Other than that, the Danish Football Association had cancelled all football matches in the country for 14 days while the Eredivisie in the Netherlands has been suspended until March 31.
Serie A in Italy has been suspended until April 3, with the country in lockdown and also two players, Sampdoria's Manolo Gabbiadini and Juventus' Daniele Rugani, have tested positive.
Two Europe League last-16 first-leg fixtures scheduled Thursday have been postponed and a few will be played behind closed doors, including Manchester United's trip to Austria to face LASK. Matches in the top two leagues in France are being played behind closed doors as well.
Manchester City's Champions League last-16 second leg fixture against Real Madrid, set to take place on Tuesday, has been postponed.
Meanwhile, the Premier League shall continue despite three Leicester first-team players have self-isolated after showing symptoms.
Options
The summer of 2021 is still an open option for the Euros, and moving it to December would mirror the current plans for the 2022 World Cup, which is scheduled in November and December to help players cope with the heat in Qatar.
EFL and Premier League football matches are currently postponed until early April.
One drastic move could be to scrap the entire season but most clubs disagree, saying the season must be finished even if it would mean playing on into the summer when the Euros are currently scheduled for.
Aside from football, other major sporting events have been postponed, including the Masters golf tournament and Six Nations rugby championship.

Maragatero , I don't believe he says that this is a lie , that Corona Virus doesn't exist . It does exist , no doubt at all , the victims , dead or infected , are out there !!!!
He just says who might be behind this virus outbreak , some strong rich men or countries maybe , a man made virus , or how serious this virus is in reality , or the lies and exaggerations of some people in power , nothing else that I can remember  Thar's totally different than to say that this virus doesn't exist at all !!!!!!!!!

Do you think that sb might come on a forum , read a post '' This virus is a lie '' or a post '' This virus doesn't exist '';or sth like '' This virus is man made '' or whatever else and believe it's true , pay attention to it , change his beliefs , his attitude towards this virus , believe a stranger , unknown person , and not whatever their relatives , parents , government , doctors have told them to do ??? Will sb follow the example or the beliefs of an unknown person in times of a major crisis , or the SAFE way and road that everyone he loves and trust ''walks'' , or the examples he already knows , the examples that the people with power show to the rest of the world to follow up to deal with this danger ????
Only the ones with the same beliefs , the same attitude , the same world view will pay attention , noone will be forced or cheated or brainwashed to do sth he doesn't already think , believe or do in crisis days , cause then people become very CONSERVATIVE , with many precautions and hostility vs foreigners , unknown recipes , different opinios and ways of thinking or living . Or they are just very SCARED to trust sb else , even if they DO want a change in their everyday life or some kind of help , even if they suffer with the usual practices and way of dealing with their problems .

| It matters a lot what i said and if you are very careful, you can see many differences, that show about humans that we are living targets. The governors of a powerful country are guilty of COVID 19 and because of that no job, no sport, not normal life.

Of course it is all Trumps fault, "How daft can you be?"- If anyone to blame, it is the Chinese Government, for dragging their heals and not letting others know until they could not hide it.
Anyway return to the title of this thread.
I think that Euro 2020, should take place, as is reasonably possible. Most of the European leagues have been totally effected by this. So why not give all the teams in the competition the chance to be at their best both physically and mentally? I mean they could train with their club teams or country squads.
This could only happen when it is safe to move around without fear of catching or spreading the virus.
I expect some leagues, (no doubt the premier league will be one of them), will expect their seasons to be finished with 3 games a week, and the cups as well on top of that. Why dont they say "League is over" - No relegations, or promotions. Every national team will have time to get fit and no more injuries and all will be well for Euro before start of next season. Start the Euro's at Xmas then pre-season, then 2021 season starts. Simple !!!!

| The situation on this planet can be extremely complicated because politicians do not tell us the truth. They want forced vaccination. They gas us from the air. we can see what kind of problems every league have now!biggest problem is now in netherland,because lot of clubs want to sue league and federation for this kind of finish without winner and especially that nobody cant go in second league,but ofcourse clubs from second league now dont like it!germany league want to start very soon,but for other league I dont think that they will do it in next month!
dont know how they will play games when they will have 35,40 degrees and to have champions league in august!

I would go even further , play in a stadium (tennis , football , basketball , etc) only with 1/50 or even 1/100 seats of the max capacity of spectaculars that a stadium can have , and let these be ONLY YOUNG , like UNDER 35 or 40 !!!!!!

People are starting to tell the truth and the truth will be found out (even if I am voted down). Doctors talk the same way. What has happened in recent months is not COVID but other games (political or for power). We normal people have lost a lot with this because we need sports.

It's not about lies or the truth. The fear of the virus was real and I am very glad it went like it did.
I still think that we avoided one of the biggest disasters is the modern era and still it can cause a lot of headache if there is a second wave.
Only time will tell. Hopefully people will still be responsible and we get through

I'm not afraid of this virus because Coronavirus is a big lie. I am afraid of the seasonal flu that kills many people every year. I hope that European football will not cancel anything and that we will enjoy Euro 2020 in front of the TV. It will be nice.

Many rushed to postpone or cancel their events . At least postponement for some moneths is not bad , wait to see what will happen and then act accordingly . But some rushed to cancel at all some ebents , or postpone them for next year . Patience is a virtue , they should have waited . I see things go slightly better , in countries like mine restrictions are being uplifted totally , in others less and less isolation is imposed , more businesses open . I want to hope in the near future things will go far better , and then all events will be abe to take place this callendar year .
It's summer , so this virus isn't so harmfull due to weather conditions , aren't I right ??? Today in a near beach here a lot of people went , it was good . Next week I'll go to a organised beach way far from my place , I guess there a lot of people will have their bath . This change is nice , I couldn't imagine summer without being able to walk out of my house . Hope for more countries to follow

| Euro 2020 can be moved to summer of 2021 if anyone wants it. This is not a big probleb because organizers can do many things. It is the best method at the moment. In december will confuse all the national championships of the countries that are qualified.

| In winter, the national championships will intersect with this big major tournament and that why Euro 2020 needs to be moved to 2021. There was nothing scheduled for then and moving is the most appropriate. Frustrated people don't know this but they don't matter anyway.

They say they couldn't schedule these games fo the summer due to the great spread of the plague , whatever ... They said empty stadiums would be very bad , not even want to think of such an alternative . Ofcourse now Bundeslega just started with no spectaculars . I believe postponement or cancellation is worse than empty stadiums . In football , in tennis (Nadal also said that ) , in more events .
By the way , organise and play these events with very low risk , for infection or illness by corona Fvirus , people , such as 15-30 years old fans in 3-5 groups with distance among them and specific number per stand , also 19-30 years old referees or stadium personnel in the OPEN STADIUMS . Yes , this is very difficult to think about , yes , ofcourse , I believe it , my sympathy to the sheep  . Also temperature detectors at the gates entrances spots , wow , so difficult or expensive , for the premier/ first category league teams , wealthy , rich or very rich , especially of the very rich leagues , such as the spanish . Yes , I , believe it , bbbaaaaa !!!

Eventually they will probably get full stadium games but not this season. It's okay for leaves and tournaments that rely on TV rights and sponsors but Less so for leagues or games that rely on money from the spectators, both entrance and hospitality.
For them, which is almost all smaller leagues and lower leagues or is better to just wait for the moment

I can think some ways for a football match to be played with precaution measures , or a tennis match , even a basketball match which takes place in a closed stadium , with young fans , etc . Nadal , has said sth that i agrre with , he is not the only one .
I have said some of these things in other posts for precautions in the stadiums , so as for the games to be played , even EURO or Olympic games , ,won't repeat them again .
But if governments don't want sth , for any reason , this ''sth' won't happen , even if i's logical , even if it's possible to happen . The strong decide , the sheep follow . The govern-ments want to ''play'' during these times 'very harshly , they want to make everyone confront his limits . Good luck everyone ....
