The World Cup final match between Argentina and France is scheduled on Sunday, December 18.

This will surely be a tough challenge for the French, who will take on Argentina and its star captain Lionel Messi in the hopes of becoming the third nation in history to win back-to-back men's World Cups.

What's more, an intense final against Argentina at the Lusail Stadium will see Kylian Mbappé face his PSG teammate, Messi, as the two nations clash to decide which team is the 2022 World Cup champion.

Argentina have been runners-up three times: in 1930, 1990 and 2014.

France has competed in 16 World Cups, including the inaugural edition in 1930 and the tournament in Qatar 2022.

France was runner-up in 2006 and has finished 3rd twice (1958, 1986).

They have also hosted the tournament twice (1938, 1998).

France last failed to qualify for the World Cup in 1994 - actually, they did not play in the tournament for 12 years after missing out in both 1990 and 1994, but in 1998 they returned to win it all on home soil.

France is now playing in their fourth World Cup final.

Argentina and France have played against each other three times in the World Cup.

Their last meeting was in Russia in 2018, when France won 4-3 in the Round of 16.

I just hope for Argentina becouse of Lionel Messi. That would be a cheery on the pie for the great career. And he said this is hiss last world cup. Otherwisee i have more simpaty for France, but Mbappe already have on win on world cup. So i hope that this will be great game, lot of goals and so on.

argentina is a fair champion, they dominated france from the beginning to the end, only in the last minutes they could find the discount for a gross mistake of otamendi and gave life to france who then put the tie and went to extra time, in penalties once again showed to have personality to kick.

it was an excellent soccer final, the best i have seen in my life, it had great emotions, and it got much more in the last minutes of the game, the extra time was impressive and even the penalties, argentina is a fair winner, the cup brings it to south america.

they didnt had shot till that penalty and everybody thought that game will finish soon with that result and win of argentina,but then we got everything that people love about football and even more time to enjoy in game!goals,penalties,last shots in last seconds and great saves by goalkeepers and so much more!
