Betsson, together with Aris BC and AEK Betsson BC, showed their support for breast cancer awareness on Saturday's game at "Nick Galis Hall".
On October 5th, during the team presentations, the players from both Aris BC and AEK Betsson BC were dressed in specially designed T-shirts that showed the message, "Early diagnosis saves lives." With this initiative, Betsson and the teams encouraged women to prioritize their health by scheduling regular checkups, emphasizing that early detection is key to saving lives.
In addition to the day's activities, two fans joined in the season's first Betsson "tic-tac-toe" event during halftime, further boosting the campaign's message.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month has been celebrated in October since the 1980s. Also called "Pink October", people display a pink ribbon to raise awareness about the importance of prevention and routine screening for the early diagnosis of breast cancer, now the 2nd most-commonly diagnosed cancer worldwide and the leading cause of cancer deaths among women.
In 2024, more than 360,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer. But there is hope, because when detected early, breast cancer is treatable. Public education and awareness are crucial in saving lives, and this campaign by Betsson serves as a reminder of the importance of early detection.
