obv anyone gaining sponsership is a fantastic thing and one to celebrate..but please take my advice and get them to stake you some live events.
They said they want me to play 3 live of their choice over the 6 month period, so we shall see. I want that included in contract and if poss some idea of which ones and where.

normally what happens is they tell you how much you can spend on a buy in, then you go find something to taste, and then tell them
obv if you do extremely well the winnings are yours for a start and second, they will bend over backwards to get you into the next 10 live events no matter where they are at!

Ya, I've heard of it. It's called prop poker. I would search google and compare the offer with other prop deals. If you're not getting 100%+ rakeback I wouldn't do it.
Edit: I thought it was a prop deal but it sounds like a sponsorship. If you like playing there and the deal is okay than I think you should take it

I haven't heard anything similar before, but if you said that this offers comes from a big poker site it must be serious.
Wish you luck in this adventure!

After you have read thru the "terms and conditions"/contract very carefully you should read it thru one more time ... ore even better let a lawyer have an eye on it

Anyone heard of Dlkiv lately? Maybe seen or spoke to her on a pokersite? After all that fuzz she hasn't loggged on here anymore. Was just wondering if she took that offer and how she's doing.

@dlkiv
Sorry I haven't read whole thread, only #1.
You are offered to be a prop player, some prop players play with own money and get 100% rakeback others play like your offer with "borrowed money". There are probably many different prop player deals. I was also offered a prop deal but not a deal as good as yours, I was offered same deal except they wanted me to pay them half my winnings trying to sell the idea that I could only win and never lose since I was playing with their money. At that moment I was a regular winning NL100 player with black numbers every month so it would be -EV for me so I turned down the offer.
Imo you should consider if you want to play the number of hours they want you to if yes I think it's a good deal as longs as they don't want a part of your profit. Take in consideration that these deals are offered on sites that needs traffic so it's most likely a dry site/network.

Yeah that's true... I had a talk with her too where she told me that she's not allowed to post on sites like ours for as long as her deal is going on.
Of course we wish her best of luck and hope that eventually she'll be back here to share her experiences
