I could explain it one or two ways:
Example 1
This is based on : p : the number of players, c : the cost of buyin f : the players final finishing position Notes about formula: 1. We multiply by 10, so that there are no decimals 2. As the number of entrants p increases, your points will go up 3. As your finishing position f decreases, your points will go up 4. We take the square root of p & f to keep the same ratio without letting the ranking points get too big (ie 10,000) 5. As the cost of entry c increases, the points will go up, but by taking the logarithm, this does not have as big an effect as increasing p or decreasing f 6. So the larger the number of players, or the lower your finiishing position has more effect than the cost of entry. 7. If c = 0, log 0.25 = -0.6 and we don’t want negative values hence we have added 1 to this factor
I guess this is tough to ubderstand so example 2 is so much easier.
Example 2
The top 30% of tournament players in The League of Mobsters tournaments will receive points. The bigger buy-in and amount of players the more ranking points you will get.
Double points will be awarded for the final 6 tournaments.

Thanks Shaun. Wow, you've certainly put a lot of thought into this. Seems a fair system so far as rewarding performance is concerned though. I trust someone's written a program to calculate the table? If you're doing it manually, the best of luck mate!

Yes i hav ethe formula I will get admin to post it tomorrow, we have apoker school program that we created for our players we will use this to work the leauge out, trust me this will be fair and above board.
