Yeah, apparently w4444x went nuts rating many posts in this thread. Perhaps he cares to tell us if he really thinks those posts were GOOD or if he was just messing around?
Either way - I think we will have to reset the ratings system once we get it improved so abuse is no longer a (big) problem, make a fresh start with more (active) members later on.

Ok Admin, the missing elements that were somewhere in my mind are 2, but they are actually regarding the posting action and not post rating just yet.
I believe that this forum will improve dramatically with both:
- SPELL CHECK - WORD FILTER
I don´t recall anyone talking about this, but if this was something that was discussed in the past, I apologise, but I think these elements are crucial for this forum to evolve.
I´m not going to go on about them because they are self-explanatory, but If needed I can make a convincing case!

italia, I don't think there is, at the moment, sorry. At each user profile you can see how many ratings they made, and on the top 5 you can see which user received the most "good"-ones. But totals are nowhere to be found. Maybe we can add this at the user profile too, while we upgrade with idea #2.
thefodz, Those haven't been discussed before, but thanks for bringing them up Spell check, I don't know if there's some kind of ASP script plugin for that, maybe. But I know that the new firefox somehow has a built-in english spell-checker (at least for Mac, don't know about the PC version?). Internet explorer probably don't. But if IE does, then we can just put a guide up in our FAQ about how to enable spell checker.
Word filter - we've been thinking about that too, in a way to limiting the amount of links to our competitors. But I must say that I'm really surprised that we haven't been flooded with such links, as I was expecting to. The mob members obey the rules more than expected Maybe you were thinking about other kinds of words than just links?

For the word filter yes, not so much for links, but your typical obscene words, for exclamation or question marks in excess, internet jargon etc...
Regarding the spell check, I don´t quite understand the programming side, all I know is that some forums have a button next to your typical post button that you can spell check before posting, now technically how this is done is a mystery to me.

I guess the simple way of a spell-checker is just to have a huuuuge list of english words in all the ways they can be spelled. But I don't think the spelling on the forum is THAT bad though. I only remember one guy who I really had trouble understand, I think he/she was using some online translator to put it into english.
So, spell-checker: low priority for now. Word filter : on the to-do list.

i have another idea i think u should reward people who post seriously by there ranks for instant if u are a high card u get only the standard bonusses when u reach a level higher u get a new bonus and if u reach straight u get 100$ or something and so on !

propoker420 are you saying that whatever level you reach bankrollmob will just give you a certian amount of money? of how would the bonus' work based on level cuz if u just give out money i think u run a high risk of spaming and the site might go bankrupt lol real quick

i have a idea for mobpoints
if u started a poker/casino on the site where u could gamble with ur mobpoints kind of like on ultimate bet and than as an bonus beside the normal payout u could give the one who earned the most mobpoints in a month a prize

no im saying that the SERIOUS posters should be rewarded like if they get 1000 posts then they will get 10$ and when they reach 1500 they wil get 50 $ and so on .. but brm has a strict policy on spamming so dont worry about that xxx-
