Poker helped to them to the top? I'd say it had more to do with them getting relegated last season than anything else. Its not that hard to be top of a league when you're miles better than everyone else in it and shouldn't really be in it at all

Hehe after some time they will be playing poker all the time and forgot to go to play football . That's gambling ^^. Or maybe we will hear about some of their players will be broke by poker

I must admit that your theory sounds a 'little' bit more realstic to me. But its nice to know that professional football players enjoy playing poker, all in all its good publicity for poker. I hope to see them back into Premier League next season.

well if playing poker makes you a better footballer will playing football make me a better poker player? Dont think so. Newcastle are good in that division coz the rest of the teams suck thats why they are winning more nothing to do with the poker playing.... I wonder what sort of side bets you get going on when the people playing are payed so much
