A few days ago a hacker managed to overtake Jon "Pearljammer" Turner girlfriend's Full Tilt account. His girlfriend, Tracey "XTraCey" Nguyen had about $30,000 and a lot of player points in the account. The hacker lost all of the cash by going all in every single hand on a $25/$50 NL Holdem table. Turner could just stand beside and watch when all the money was lost, and at the same time the hacker [...] Read more » Full Tilt: Red Pro's girlfriend hacked
what I cant understand is why Full Tilt doesnt have a live support where you can get hold of someone immediately.
I would hope that Full Tilt will re-imburse him with the money, and then investigate as to who did it.
Poker sites are by means secure. Once they get your PW then they can do what the hell they like.
Perhaps there should be a pin number you have to enter before you sit down at your first cash table or a tournament. If you fail to get it right 3 times then the account is instantly locked.

omg again its really ashamed because full tilt grown very fast but they are very easy beaten by hakers and not 1-st time so its mean all best players or poker likers will run away from full tilt to over sites. maybe its just some pay chakers big moneys to stop growing full tilt and just do even less popular site
so we wait for official full tilt answer good luck all

i feel pity for turners gf but i think that what the best what could happen. hopefully they now do improve their support and security. such a big room and no live support, also their support via email takes weeks..
Any account can ba hacked by a determined person with some skill. There are a number of things that a user can (and should do) to prevent being hacked. FTP, Party Poker and PokerStars all offer enhanced security measures, but they are not full proof either. The fact that this happened at FTP concerns me in that they seem to be having a high number of problems that need to be addressed. Hopefully they improve their security quickly. If not, I may have to look at another site to play at.

As the others say, all other poker rooms are pretty much secure. However, one thing that can be added to FTP for quick response is a live chat support. That will make it very much easier for people to contact them.

Most hackers do it for the fun of it. it gives them a challenge and its an accomplishment for them if they do crack an account. More like bragging rights. then there are also who would do it for the money.
