Yeah, it shouldn't be a problem in most states, but the taxes are bigger than normal..Here in Romania it's something around 30% to gambling winnings (poker and such), while the normal tax on services and products is 24% (used to be 19% until a month or so ago, so maybe the gambling tax has increased as well)

Hi,I will be very lucky if I won very big prize and last thing which be a problem is taxes,I will be out of myself because of winning and without taxes still you have full bag of $ to count

well in the uk if u deposit more than something like 5 or 10k then the bank must now contact authorities as its all 2do with money laundering and u only have 2prove that the money is legit and its not came from nowhere otherwise they seize it and u get charged with money laundering,apart from that no worries as its tax free also i think!

Hi If your country taxes poker winnings,if you win BIG,maybe you can transfer some winnings to a friends account,spread the $$ out a bit. Or pay the tax,the last thing you need is to be audited,where I m from ,if they audit you once,they will watch us for 3 years more. So if you win big at poker,and they find out,most likely your goverment will watch your winnings,since they want their cut Thats my advice. crusher007

I am so glad I live in Canada,I don't have too worry about any thing,I don't even pay any taxes on what ever I win,I can win 10 million and I don't have to pay any tax of any kind,In my province anyways,We can pretty much gamble any where,In my city we have 2 casinos that offer just about everything,I just wish they would host some big poker tourney's. I love my country...... We enjoy so many true freedoms. I don't have to worry about how much go's in my bank account.. So I am free to win as much as possible,the only way I would ever pay a tax is if I won a live tourney in some other country.
