would you change the field too if you get the unlucky streak?

Argh if u have a downstreak off 1 year in DoNs u defffo do sometin wrong here (no offend). Try find for leaks in the DoNs cos playin properly i guess even a downstreak off 1 month is hard to do on DoNs.

If you are winning at fixed limit and losing at don's, I'd say yes. But most important, do you enjoy the limit game as well as you do don/sng's? Unless you play for a living or a nice side-income, having fun playing poker is most important imo.

Well put Joe ---- Even when earning poker for a side income, you have to look at time spent playing vs the income per hour. For most, flipping burgers at a fast food restaurant is more productive.

i think you should play those games, which you are comfortable with. doesn't matter what you used to play earlier. if you now are uncomfortable with don's you would end up making wrong decisions and losing. start playing limit holdem if you are comfortable with it now(but remember you have played only few hands and ur wins might be variance) and when you feel u can again win at dons, you can try them once again.
Yep, I would stick to the limit poker for a while. It will be the best thing to get back on your feet again, especially emotionally, cause you need to rebuild your confidence in your own abilities. And if lilit is a game type where you can win again, I would take that on for a while. Later, when your confidence is rebuilt, you can take on other types of poker again.

Goodluck
Once again, the master spoke ^^ I think he is right. But Doomdy, maybe didn't seen he is making also 9 man sng's too : there, there might be more variance ==> A 1 month downstreak is then more possible !
But well, even so, i would look my game and try to see my leaks because, after an enormous amount of games, its not possible anymore that there is only luck (just try to make 10 000 times a 6 with a dice and you'll see that after 10 000 times, you'll be near of 1/6 likelihood. That's power of statistic Its the same with poker, there should be a global trend, win or lose, but a trend ).
What you can do is simple both : sometime sng's, sometime limit !
If yourdoing well @ limit, stick to it. If you want to go back to SnG's, look @ your game and find holes such as playing too high a percentage of hands, playing the wrong hands in the wrong position, calling instead of raising too much, refusing to fold with less than the nuts, trying to bluff too often, etc, etc.
Ahhh the downswing. I'm just breaking out of one in the last 2 days, after going thru some nasty badbeats + variance for like 4 days straight (may not seem like alot, but dropping 3 or 4 buyins day after day was killing me) and the funny thing is it came right after a huge heater that i went on. The best thing you can do is review hand historys and go over all of your trouble hands & mistakes made & try to find the differences in your play between when you were winning & losing. The biggest changes in my gameplay seemed to be that i became "gunshy", started missing out huge +EV spots & instead became more of a calling station not raising & reraising like i used to & yet calling shoves with TPGK, all costly errors that made my downswing even more instense than just the variance alone. Now that im back to playing like i was before the downswing, already up a couple of buyins & just made a decent cash in the Daily dollar which has already restored confidence & hunger Good luck
downswing is never easy to accept; long downswing it's awful. If you planned to be a pro in a couple of years it's a problem, if you play because you like to play, try to change field for a month and.... tell us

I think you should continue playing the same field so you gain even more experience. You have some ups and downs in your graphic, but maybe they are also related with other factors, external to poker. Once in a while, just to relax, you should play other things, but in terms of real dedication, let yourself be where you are, its the best way to upgrade and continue the way to big poker money!

Hi!!
The best way in poker (I think) is do the things you like. If SnG likes you and you play well, continue on it. Take a break during some days and come back to break the tables!!!

I've tried all types over the last few months, and mostly realize that what you LIKE to play is what works. Maybe S&G's are getting too routine for you and you need a break, ie. cash games. You seeem to have done well for a long time, so I would look at that angle maybe...
