AA - Limp or Raise ?  0
I say, 100% of the time, you have to raise with AA, and 97.99% of the time with KK or even QQ.

What I tend to do, (this is just the way I play, I don't think it's good or bad) is raise usually at least 5x if I have QQ preflop. Usually raise less with AA, but always raise.

As for any other cards, you can play them any other way, position matters, etc. etc.

I always ask myself, with a starting hand, "What would I (reasonably) like the flop to be?" Of course if you have AA you probably want the flop to be AAK so you can't be beat, but that is not going to happen. If you have limped, 3 callers, and the flop is 4, 5, 6 then what do you do??? You shouldn't have given the guy with 3, 7 suited the chance to call.

I do not think the correct answer to this is even "depends on the circumstances". I think that is the correct answer to ANY other poker question th0

Raise big preflop always big...pot bet or even bigger ...

cause even if all fold you still get the blinds....and that almost never happends only on final tables...and if that's the case they reraise you with Say KK and you got AA and you still get them 99% of the time :|

Well, if you know well your opponents and you know how to play it like that you can limp, but personnally i never limp with QQ KK or AA. I do 3x blinds raise and if somebody raised before me, i raise him 3x his raise. If someones 3bet or 4bet you, go straight all in. Blink

One needs a very good reason not to raise with AA. Thin out the field, so you will not be beaten by junk hands that have hitten the board very good.

Depends on position, stack and blinds!

You have only 10BB going in that hand. Don't just raise, go all-in preflop. You can't raise and give up later in that hand any more.

I know answer doesn't like you but depends; just to be clear, I think you have always to raise but the amount of raising depends on the kind of game are you playing on Smile

I dont think its played bad just unlucky.
But as said above, with 10BB your looking at AI pre-flop.
Dont quite know what to make of the tard who calls with K8.

Never limp with AA, KK, QQ. With AA and KK, should be willing to go all in preflp in reraised into. The one hand I tend to limp with is AK. Just through observation and experience with that hand, I've seen far too many players push with that hand and don't improve, or improve to a pr and lose to a set. In theory, that's the wrong way to play AK, but I don't like being pot commited with an unmade hand where a pr of 2's is ahead and only having 6 outs to improve

i raise big preflop for sure the aces always kills me
so limping is surely not my option

i feel to confident its just a damn pair

The only time I limp with AA, is in NL10 or higher, on a tight table with 1 or 2 lag players that raise pretty often.
If I raise, I just pick up the blinds; if I limp (in ep) I get a fair chance to get raised and be able to reraise the hell out off them Big Smile

omg horrible play! U can t raise 5x bb with QQ then 3,6x with AA or 4,2x with KK. The pre flop raise u make with AA must be the same that u do with 89s

oh i didn t saw u were french! everything s clear now...
