On the show jason mercier says to ivey "couldnt u just order steaks to ur motel room" to which ivey replies: "why would i do that? Its the same as stealing - i don't steal" So the honor system is obv good enough for both these guys.

honour system my ass. Stupid bet and if ivey likes he's meat I'll be he'll cheat. There's a certain thing in the human condition known as reason and unless he's some dumbshit religious freak (unlikely since he's a poker pro) he's gonna cheat when he's somewhere with no one watching and reason and logic kick in.
btw, I'm vegan anyway and find it hard to fathom some of you who say you wouldn't do this.. ? $1M for one year of not being an indulgent prick? com'on.

That's just the sickest thing I've ever heard. Why would anyone give him 1KK$ just to be vegetarian... and who is gonna control that? Is he going to be under a 24/7 surveillance?
Could be one very expensive meal, if he fails. Tom should be very sure that Phil is really addicted to meet, to make this kinda prop bet
