Hard to believe yesterday went the same loss followed by loss and finished last nigh and my bankroll was down to $79.45 .... only had one win all day ... in a small sng
On a positive not have decided to stop playing omaha and go back to nlh ... so first game this morning was nlh $1 bounty Ko which i won .... $4.50 plus 4 .25c bountys for knocking out players giving me $5.50 and my bankroll up to $83.55
also as i had two small wins i can now enter a small mtt to the value of $3.30 ........ just have decide which one and when to run it
Well thats it for now .... this is turning out to be very challenging and interesting ... Ill think ill start a poll on the outcome .... not giving me the option ... so votes please .... will i finish this in profit ... at a loss ... or broke

Early days yet, think you should have stuck to hold`em, dont feel forced or commited to play just doit when you feel like kicking butt. Id say go play some SnGs (10-9 man) and start scraping back some money the MTTs have higher varience. GL photolong.

well two for two this morning playing nlh so feeling good ........... the mtts is part of the set up ... whether in profit or loss i get to play but only if i win or come second in sng this way i dont over do them ... so up till now i played none But as per bap a bit is put aside so have enough to play a small buy in ...... i play pretty well in mtts so im looking forward to one

Out of curiosity, do you think the psychological factor of being staked affects your play? Does it feel more like scared money because you have your rep riding on it as well??
Be interested to hear your thoughts, or maybe you just play exactly the same?
Personally, I think my play would be affected by knowing the money was put up, with a certain "expectation" behind it not to mention a reputation attached to it. I dunno whether the effect would be good or bad though lol

well gained back a little more .... played the $2.20 quintuplet mtt won the first two levels making $12.55 lost third level
as for your question jessthehuman .... it dosent now .... but my first couple of stakes for $2 were harder strangely enough ... didnt want to loose there money plus wanted to look good too .... but now im fine plus it helps they all meet up in a chat room and we all talk and have a laugh with each other ... so im getting to know them all and it makes things more relaxing for me ......
but i think im happy with the way i play plus they all could see how i played before they bought into my bap (they follow youre games and watch you play) and feeling happy about the way i play makes it a lot easier and takes the worry out..... hitting a bad run at start of bap was a pain but i believe i will work through it

------------ Well finishing for tonight just won another $1 Ko sng so got $4.50 + $1 bountys ..... Bankroll is now $94.50 so slowly going up .... and i can use $3.30 for Mtts
Will grind away at the $1 Ko sng for a while and every couple of wins try the $3.40 ones .... and with a bit of luck make the money in a mtt .........
Then when i feel things are healthy again try a bigger buy in

Good you are grinding up again . Im pretty sure the luck turns for you soon, downswings are just a test to maintain the calm nerve. Good luck and keep us update, always peasure to read your updates

up to $100.87 ..... only got to play two sit and goes yesterday ... lost both had K,K reraised all in by A,10 preflop he flopped A i flop nut flush but no joy on turn and river so out ... then next game bubbled when i pushed all in with A,Q and got called by K,Q i flop A he flop flush hits on turn .....
today played the quintuplet shoot out mtt again and again i got through the first two rounds and made $10.47 .... lost heads up in third round dammmm + 3rd and min money in sng
so slowly going back upwards .... early days as its only the 4th of May .... so loads of time ..... need to win a sng so ill have money for a mtt .... mtt fund is $1.30 ... so one win and i get to play the quintuplet shoot out maybe again to morrow .... so will try to do that to night if i get time to play .

well dropped down again to $80 the last couple of days but pulled it back to $102 to-day ..... usual story bad beats bad beats .... but to-day managed to avoid them ... infact just finished a sng Ko ... won it plus knocked out everyone bar 1 (had to fold 5,5 preflop to a raise and a reraise all in ... would have made the straight and knocked out the other lad )
have had some crazy games and met crazy players eg people calling my bets flop turn and river when i flop straight and they sitll call on river showing A high ??? ......or loose to the same who call flop turn and river and my pair is conterfitted on river with bigger pair and they show J high .... why they call is beyond me ... no draws nothing
but still feeling good have money for mtt and still early days .... will grind till i hit $120 ish and then go up in buyins ... well thats the plan

Well two more games to day $1.10 mtt ... going well all game being agg got unlucky after reaching the money and had 10,10 crash into K,K so only made $2.69 ..... but feeling good about last few results so decided to play a $4.10 KO sng rather than the $1.40 ive been grinding on ..... ending up winning for $13.50 plus $3.00 in bountys giving me $16.50 .... so now up to $116.62
so have a few more dollars for mtts ... so hope to do the Quintuplet mtt tomorrow all going well and fit in a few sng ..... depending on time as this week im going to have very little time to play till at least Friday ......

well time for another update ..... the past week didnt get to play as much .... being a stay at home dad ... the wifes shift at work didnt give me as much time to play ... but should have more time this week ..... similar story on beats ... but after looking at things i feeling better about it .. as i realized nearly 99% of the time i got my money all in i was ahead ... i think it would be a lot worse if i was going in behind .... so when things swing in my favour i should get more winning results
As for the bankroll ... its now $141.00 .... so feeling positive about making a profit .. as i still have two weeks to go ... have just started to play the $4.10 sng KO again so a few good results in a row and ill be on the way
overall im delighted with this staking site ... and have a few more things i want to do in the coming months if i can still get backing ..... have learned a few things that will help me get off to a better start next time .... eg what games to play and what to stay away from
anyway update again in a couple of days .... hopefully to say im finally in profit

about time ... Bankroll now $167.28 ......yeeeeeeee finally got it back and into profit ... now i have a week and about 4 days to try and build it up .... running ok in sng .. in the money 12 out of 15 of them ... ranging form $1.40 KO sng to $4.10 KO sng ... just had a good few thirds .. which is a pain and not used to third .. generally first and second ... but wont complain im moving up up up .....
there is a lad running a sng bap on sng KO ... he started with $750 and has got it up to $1,600 .... think i would like to make that much .. but not likely
anyway feeling good and positive so roll on tomorrow

sorry its been a while ... at the moment playing a $4 sng and a $1 omaha h/l mtt and bankroll is $169 ... got it up to $190 earlier but some bad results eg bubbles and beats dropped me back ...... but still feeling good and hope to get it up more .... anyway more later as im busy playing now

well lost sng and mtt and dropped to $165 ..... better results yesterday two 2nds a 3rd and a 1st... so now on $181.98 ....
having no joy in my mtts ...but as they are $2 ish they are not overly costing me much .... running about even on them as i had a few min payments in the Quintuplet ... dam im getting some sick beats heads up in that tourney ..... but my agg play has me 99% of the time getting to heads up in the levels i get knocked out in ....
Due to finish to morrow ... but talked to my backers and rather than start a new bap im going to run till the 25th of june ... having a break for a week then and going away and didnt want to be trying to sort something else out for June
got a token for the summer festival freeroll on pokerstars from one of the lads on this staking site ... running to night $150,000 guaranteed ... $10,000 to the winnner and 3,000 places paid ...... so going to play that and split any winnings with him .... coooool
