the point lower act never really effected me as i only joined recentley but its nice to hear that you are keeping on top of the site and always looking for ways to improve and keep it running smooth for loyal users well done and keep it up

I think option 2 is perfect:
"2) Only awarding points for the first 10 posts each day, so if a user makes 25 posts a day, only 10 of them will be awarded with points (if they are long enough of course)."
I think people that spam alot dont write more than 10 posts per day! And the forum would be much more serious!
