what's your name on there ? i thought i added you.. previously only my tourney results were public, i made the whole profile public just now ok..

Having all the knowledge and experience in the world dosnt help when your pre-frontal cortex is getting the wrong information,once it becomes impaired with alchol and the synaptec gap starts to flood your body with good intentions its OVER i can vouch for this with a failed marraige because ofbooze. But it was all good intentions.Change your cognition when you drink play low stakes and be a bully.Even if you loose it will not be as much. good luck Jess ive gotten some good advice from you ,plz take mine

Interesting thread. I don't drink and play poker. I wouln't get drunk and go try to play 9 innnings of baseball, that's just my opinion. I've seen players that drink and can still play, though most times they do just end up going bust. I cannot tell you how many times I've started a roll and built it, just to lose it all in the violent downswings of the game. You know the type, you get it in with the best of it and lose, or with the monster draw or slightly behind, but never seem to pull ahead? Session after session....Those are rough enough sober I couldn't imagine having to deal with it inebriated. I think the most important thing I took from this thread, is a lesson I have had to learn the hard way, as that seems the only way I'm willing to learn sometimes. The lesson is this Mobsters, BankRoll Management may be the single most important factor in distinguishing the difference between being a losing/break even player, and a winning player....I mean aside from actually knowing how to play the game. Go see a really smart guy, (they are out here, but don´t give up on the first two), and he will help you get through this s**t and enjoy life more... You know what I mean...

^ Thanks IslandJack - but honestly my life is on track atm.. I just use online poker as my outlet.. But I live with my girlfriend of 2.5yrs, have a steady job, full time study, plenty of money in the bank etc.
I used to have MAJOR MAJOR issues with drugs/alcohol/gambling.. And I did get professional help that did help me, I also lived in a little town of 120ppl for around 2years, just to clear my mind of the city.
But lifes actually great for me at the moment.. But yeah, I do use online poker as an outlet for all my old "urges".. So I never build a big roll that I dont busto, but i never spend money I cant afford etc . If i deposit i use bank deposit which takes 2 days to clear- so no tilting with a credit card handy etc.

see above - $393 - spewing though, I was leading the final table the whole way.. then one hand I had 10-J on a 410J board.. put in a big bet, get called, turn 6 and my opponent shoves, I call and he flips 66 for a set. no 10 or J on river and Im down to about 12 bb and never really recovered from there sick hand - because he makes horrible call on flop and hits one of his 2 outs..
2nd place was around $600 and 1st around $900 so busting in 3rd really hurt.. But at least building back up.. Lost about $100 in buyins as well today..up about $250 for the day.Plus - Currently in one final MTT - before PKR shuts for a few hours..So hopefully make a cash here too
------------ ended up 2nd in the other game came into HU with 5:1 lead and lost it !
Oh well - up about $400 for the day.. so not bad anyways.. Still, two very disappointing FTs today.
