Reach final table? In single table SNG?

In a single table SNG first 3 places are paid. The third place doesn't count because it only returns your buy-in. To break even you need to win every 4th game or to finish second every second game. It is a very tough task. In fact, I believe 1-table SNG is the least profitable format in online poker.

And when you reach final table and win first place that is usually between 100 and 1000 buy ins! You can make 1000 buy ins on cash games every day?

No, you can't. But to reach final table out of the field of 2000-5000 players...how often does it happen? How many tourneys did you play and how many final tables did you make? In cash tables you can't win that much but you can win STEADILY (7 out of 10 sessions, 8 out of 10 sessions etc...).
And you know why? Because in cash games you can choose against who to play. Make notes on the players...Mark the donks...Chase them all over the room. You don't have this privilege in MTTs.

Top online earners. Yup, top 10 are probably cash players, lot of them comes and goes...

More like top 100 and top 20 of them don't go anywhere (Dwan, Ivey, Antonius, South...)

Isuldur1 lost his entire bankroll in one session!

That's cause he is a donk. All know that. He lost it in a game that he is weak at (PL Omaha).

Look at list of PS Supernova elite players. Lot of them play SNG. Dario Minieri is one of them.

Where can I look at him? He quit to play on PS a couple of years ago. He was a loosing player all the time on PS both in cash and MTTs.

Dario Minieri is one of them. And he is first guy that bought Lamborghini with FPP.

He bought it with the rakeback that he generated, not with his winnings.

Cash game players are more famous because of swings and amount of money that they put on table.

and their winnings...

If you cant see why I wont bother to explain. Read my second post.

In your second post you write a lot about larger cost of tilting or hands played in a wrong way. That is all true. But why do you keep saying that cash game is more of a gamble? In my understanding, gambling is taking moves which are against mathematical odds. If you don't want to gamble in cash games, then just don't. Play by the odds. From this standpoint, playing in MTT is more of a gamble. If your stack is small and blinds are high you HAVE TO gamble sooner or later. Never happens in cash games.

Risking whole 600+25$ on format that you are not familiar with!

Why do you keep talking about risking whole bankroll? I said: enter a table with 25$ and DON'T REBUY. You are risking only 25 $.

Why would you make nice profit on one type of game, feel comfortable playing and then you switch on type of game where you are not showing any profit only loses???

To learn it and to make even more money. It is self-improvement. It is the same as going up in stakes or learning other types of poker (Stud, Razz etc).

i know, no worries. Im not fighting you. Just writing my own oppinion mate Smile

The same, man. Smile
All I want to say is that if you are good in MTTs you should try to learn to play profitable cash game. Otherwise you are missing a great opportunity.

Have to make a correction to this statement. Looks Like Minieri is still with PS. But due to this weird separation of PS into several rooms he probably now plays on Poke rS tars.it
Magatt will probably be able to clear up the matter. While he played in the main room he was a loosing player. That's a fact. You can look up his graphs.

WOW!
That is one long post mate!
I wont keep with this because it will last forever. You have yours and I have mine opinion. If it is Dario wrong example then sorry, there are lot of others and it is pointless to mention high stakes pros in this tread.

This is tread about me and other people on this forum trying to help one member that plays micro stakes cash games and that is losing player!
Im saying that that member should quit playing cash games for now since it is lot easier and safer for beginner to play SNG. That is fact. Obviously Danish dont know how to play cash games and should try SNGs...
