Guess you never made it to 1st place in a Tourney hey? Or maybe actually won anything at all?
Why not spend some time learning the game instead of ranting garbage talk? If a tournament promises $100 or whatever for 1st place...where do you think the cash goes? hmmmm?
I can't link to poker sites obviously, but if you search around there are some great articles on variance and standard deviation. Basically they illustrate the "luck" factor in a given sample of 100 players with a 10BB/100 win rate for example over 100.000 hands and the standard deviation shows the various amounts at either end of the "lucky" spectrum that these players may expect to win.
Even though all players have an equal EV win rate, the actual amount they win, due to what we call "luck" can vary a LOT even over 10+ years. It's pretty mind blowing actually.

I think many of us have a thought that all poker platforms were rigged when we all started to play online poker and we lost some money. Of course you can't deny sometimes you can get some bad beats but most of the time when you lose money it's your lack of experience. This happend to me and after that i stared to read several strategy books, i started to apply them on play money games(although poker on real money is 100% different than on play money), i deposit from my own money and i started to earn pretty good. Of course even now you can get bad beats but thats inevitable. Many say that pokerstars and full tilt poker deal very good cards in order to make players to go all in preflop so poker platforms generate more rake. For me it always worked so far, i mean i almost won all hands with AA or KK.

We have all passed through tilt phases and we know its not easy to look at a software when it doesnt work how we intend to. "random" is a tricky word used in technology world. Once i created a little Java application which could give two answers (yes or no) to a question, and when i used it, it always answered me "no". I called a pro to see if i have done it wrong and he said everything was alright. "Its a random answer, it can give yes or no, but its not because it gave "no" now that after that will give "yes". Its random". Online poker has random distribution of hands and cards to the tables so... easy on that!

The "generate more Rake" theory by rewarding agressive play is a biggy, but also not true. I found a very lengthy article once (a study) about why the sites cannot and do not do this, but unfortunately I can´t find it anymore.
Anyway, to stress that point, I played a 9 hour tournament yesterday, and AA got busted all-in pre-flop 9 times out of 12!!! Unbelievable really. We were still discussing this on the final table, where AA won 2 times and lost 3. So there you go...another theory shot to hell.
People never complain when they win a hand, like flop quads or something , nvm how unlikely that is, like 'OMG I flopped quads, this site is so fixed!'
