What is it about PokerStars and those Godforsaken killing rivers? I haven't been playing poker for some time now so I didn't had any money on my acount but i've decided to play with my points to see were could I get with that. Played a few tournaments and after some bad beats (always on the river) I finally got $0,5
So I moved to 990players $0.02 sng's. Well, what happened you ask.
I played 60 sng's: 1x itm and 59x lost with bad beat on the river.

Yeah, there is. They have special assignment to destroy one 0,02c SNG grinder that have diogamp nickname on Bankrollmob forum. They heard that he is so good that if they dont give him godforsaken rivers he could win every single 990 people tourney without having bad beat!

Well thats a helpfull reaction for him. I am sure he knows the problem now I just find out its not only pokerstars with bad river for me. got a huge suck out at 24 hour poker and carbon poker. 24hour i flopped a flush 3 man all in. board is j 6 5 diamond 5 5 lowest stack shows a 5 and bigger stack than me shows k j
ive played on nearly all of the poker sites online and i have found out that pokerstars is the worst of the lot for the river to destroy your winning hand, and it happens alot more than normal imo thats why its nickname is jokerstars

i dont think pokerstars is that bad for it, i think its just peoples timing when they play those mediocre hands and think its god forbidded they will lose with it, play your hand down to the river without going all in, use some pot control, my motto is only push with close to nuts or the nuts

well, thx for the reply jovicakralj, I knew they had something on me Jibberish actually I'm a bit tight but what u say makes sence but I'm not talking about mediocre hands, I'm talking about A T + vs 9 3 off and crap like that. I don't even like to go all in pre-flop. I really hate pre-flop all-ins, thats not poker!!!!!!

Greetings Diogomp, and welcome to BankRoll Mob.
Congrats on winning the $.50, sorry to hear you lost it all. If you find you're losing a lot on the river, it could be because you're allowing the other players to chase their cards. Try raising harder (more than the pot) if the cards come out with possible draws.

Good luck.
I agree on that and I learned that lesson the hard time for some time now. In these cases what happened was something like allmost nuts on the flop. the other guy shove (maybe to scare me) e call and lose on the river. U know when u call with a great smile on your lips and then u see all the chips going the wrong side of the table and u didn't know why? on the 60'st sng I almost throw my laptop against the wall.

Ha ha, poker rage, good times. I can definitely relate to the feeling. Good thing you resisted the urge though, if you broke your lappy you would miss out on all the other fun.
The highs and lows are what keep poker fun for sure. Try not to let it phase you to much though. Bad beats are unavoidable even for the best, and sometimes they come all in a row.
Another good piece of advice is try not to bluff too much a low stakes. It's hard to convince someone to fold if it'll only cost the $0.20 to call.

As for me in PartyPoker i can play nl10 and can be at least a little bit profitable, at pokerstars its a pain in the ass to beat nl5 not mention where i get destroyed everytime i take a shot. Iam not sure whats the reason for that, maybe the players are stronger or fisher who pay you with any 2, or maybe there is something with the software.
Wat i see lots of players blaming when they play on stars is for them to TURN OFF THE DOOM SWITCH.
As always in my opinion the truth lies in the middle.

you are playing 990 player sng with 0.02 buyin, what else do you expect? most of these players are gonna push with whatever junk they have and will get lucky sometimes. try playing single table sng, maybe u'll like it better.

i played one of those tourneys yesterday i placed in 41st i think, i turned my 2 cents into 10 i dont like them because their hyper turbo and its basically just push all in when you get a good hand, you cant waste time with playing flops n stuff
Jovica is right... If you think about what you're saying; YOU don;'t give out bad beats, but you lost 59/60 games because of a "bad beat river". Obviously not EVERYONE can be losing this much, otherwise nobody would actually be winning the games. Basically what you are suggesting is that PS is singling you out to lose. That makes so little sense it is not funny. IMHO - lose the ego and practise your game, obviously you are no where near as good as you think you are.
------------ Also, FWIW- I used to play live pub poker before playing online - I kid you not - there would be people swearing at the "fucking river card" every five minutes.
------------ It's just the game dude and to be honest, you probably ain't cut-out for it.
