1850$ sick though you can get the book for nearly half the price from publisher's website.
Yeah I noticed that - but the listings on amazon - both the UK and the US site are all like that, even the used copies.
I think the original RRP of the book was like $1000 US or something. And often it's distributed as a limited release.
At any rate - it is certainly the most expensive poker book I have ever heard of.
------------ Out of curiousity I checked some torrent sites and as you would expect, you can download a pirated pdf from most of the major online torrent trackers.. I haven't yet as personally for this sort of thing I would: A) Rather have the physical copy, since I don't own an e-reader and reading from a computer screen (a whole book) isn't an overly enjoyable experience. B) Whilst I admit to some piracy, generally tv shows & movies because I don't really care if hollywood isn't making a buck from me and especially since if I didn't pirate these shows/movies I certainly wouldn't be paying for them either - so in some respects, it isn't costing the industry anything. But I think book authors etc deserve to get the money for their works.
In saying that - I am pretty tempted to download a copy, just to see what a US~$1500 book looks like lol. Seriously, who isn't curious as to the content of a poker book selling on amazon for nearly $2K US.

After reading all this, I´ll definitely have a look at Kill veryone, as so many seem to have read Phil´s book. Harrington is still supposed to be the best tournament reading. Read some of it and it´s pretty good.
I have the PDF of "Let there be range", but haven´t looked at it yet. Might today after reading this and lete everyone know.

well i got that pirated version, anyway i wasnt gonna spend 1000$ on a book. and as compared to other books ( most of which have 300-500 pages) it has only 80 pages, read a few pages (reviewed the rest) and really liked it. worth a read imo. kinda very busy so will be some time before i get to read it full. but worth 2000? not sure maybe if you are a mid stakes player but still think might be better to get a nice coaching for that amount of money.

Read some this morning (Let There Be Range) and i have to say, it´s pretty good. Don´t understand the price for 80 pages, but it looks like the kind of book I need right now.
Doesn´t go too heavily into statistical mumbo jumbo, which I understand but don´t like. Focuses more on the psychology of players, hands, C-bets, ranges, fold equity etc. Interesting reading and i already see major mistakes in my game lately.

Is this serious? And what is your point exactly?
Almost everyone can read so this point is moot. And if we´re taliking about handicaps like "blindness"...again, what´s the point of this post?

The theory of poker is the best. The book is very simple and deep at the same time. The knowlodge of the several strategy reflect the essence of a perfect poker game. By the way I recommend the book Ace on the River too.
