Yeah nowadays poker sites are very strictly regulated, so if your country is banned, there is no point to try get around that ban, because in the end you probably will lose all the money that you invested.

I think the problem nowadays is that you cannot find many sites in every country due to restrictions and regulations . In the past in Greece you could find innumerable sports book sites or casino sites or poker rooms . Now with the regulations choices are limited .
So many times you are forced to accept rules that you don t like , play at casino sites or poker rooms that you don't prefer or that are not the best out there . Other times you try to find sth better ,in unregulated market which has some dangers .
I think governments split the market shares to specific companies . Worldwide this happens everywhere nowadays . That way they control more the market , the companies' profits , their own profits from taxes and politicians' blackmails .

In my country everything is restricted. There are many sites that cannot even open the internet page of certain types of poker games, casino, etc. The State wants to have that monopoly (although only physically, since it does not have its online site). But regarding sports betting, it does allow a site from my country, and it is quite bad. I use VPN and play on other sites of my choice

Ofcourse there are worse things . Worse than have limited number of casino or poker or sports book sites is to have only one licenced gambling site for betting reasons . Or even worse if this only one licenced is a government's site or company . I can not remember for sure where I read that this happens , I think Sweden ?? I think there the gambling is state/government controlled , one only gambling company . Or was it another country in the Baltic area ???

Yeah, they always saying that they doing that, to protect people from losing their money to illegal gambling companies that are registered abroad , but in reality they just want to create monopoly in the gambling market. We can only hope that something will change in the future, but for now unfortunately, we have to accept the current situation

everyone follows rules and legislation and everyone tries to be legal , you see that all poker rooms and casino rooms nowadays ask for id and address proof , the identification process is very strict . even the so called unregulated sites like ACR , they also follow rules , ofcourse you can use one two things like vpn , but nothing more , totalitarian discipline lol
