Development ideas regarding the freerolls (esp. Mansion)  +1
I guess one shouldn't be complaining about something that is completely free, but I still think there's some room for improvement. Currently the first hour of the freerolls features many tables where one or two players are online and the rest are sitting out. It makes the tourney even more of a lottery than they normally are - a lucky table draw could increase your stack tenfold during the first hour. How about opening the registration to the tourneys only a few hours (or an hour) before the tourney starts instead of a week?

Also, since the tourney is capped at 500 players on Mansion, there may be people who were going to play but can't since the tourney is filled up with people who aren't going to show up. One can't make the money by just sitting out (I've noticed this when I've pre-registered but have had something more important and acute come up before the tourney), so there's no need to register if one isn't going to play.

And now that I'm at it, I think many people would prefer a monthly $500 freeroll (or a bigger one of course, but you get the point) to a weekly $100. Playing 2,5 hours to win $.50 doesn't add up to the minimum wage in most countries. Spreading $100 4 or 5 times a month to busto people probably isn't going to get you a lot of rake since most people will go bust sooner or later, usually a lot sooner. Spreading the same money once a month to fewer people always has more chances of a run of a lifetime where someone turns $5 to thousands, generating a lot of wealth to BRM at the same time.

Think about it and please don't post the "+1"s in order to up your post count in your mission to 5000 points, it's quite pathetic.

1) We'll contact Mansion and see if we can change the registration period to just 24 hours before, for the next one, so we can see how it affects the amount of players.

2) A monthly $400-$500 freeroll doesn't fit so well into our "Daily Freeroll Program" Big Smile It's very hard to have a freeroll for every day, we had a month or two where we actually managed, but now there's usually a day or two each week without a freeroll.

3) People don't get Mob Points for posting "+1" - it requires more text than that. Obviously if they quote your post and put "+1" after, they will probably get points - and you're right, it's not pretty. Better that people simply post "+1" alone to indicate that they agree, but they also don't want to be paid Mob Points for such a simple post.

+1.

And also -1

I don't play the freerolls ( diff level) BUT
I understand your point : loads don't play :> gtfo there and make room for a waitinglist.

Mansion is from ipoker network, wich they don't have that feature.

Entraction network for example has the feature that the pople sitting out more thenx minutes they get kicked off automatcly.

If u want to achieve that on Mansion, than u should mail the tech dep for that. Or I ask on my contactlist, since I have some developers from that networ on it.
CAP 500? >> can be a good idea to get rid of ir IF the above issue can be solved.

500$ a month or 4/5 *100$ a week

If people have to wait 30 days for playing an exlusive roll :

A. Lack of intrest after a while maybe OR date will be forgotten etc etc.
B. It's always better imho to get a constant and frequent line to keep the players busy or make them return on regular bases instead of once a month, assuming U don't have a roll there and would only login into Mansion for that freeroll only.

I thnk imho a better way or concept would be :

keep the 100$ freerolls per week
Make the Leaderboard and the top X gets an extra Dollar added in their mansion account

u can compare it with the 5K mobpoints then?

No idea

I am not disagreeeing, but also not Agreeing +1 -1

And fok knows if this text didnt make sense, and is probably filled with typos but I am tired, => bed now and had a 10 hour session behind me Smile

Turns out we can't change the registration for our Aug 26 freeroll because it already has players registered, but we'll try it for some of our September freerolls.

Didn't realize the aim was to have freerolls available every day. In that case, I completely understand having a weekly freeroll. Thanks for trying the shortened registration times though - even if it makes the tourney a bit harder when half of the people aren't sitting out, at least it's going to be a bit more interesting now.

So far, all the September Mansion freerolls have had their reg. period shortened from (was it a week?) to 24 hours. We'll love some feedback after the first one, so since it was your suggestion, I trust that you'll be back with some feedback in a few weeks Big Smile

I also completely agree with skores post.

I also understant the reasoning behind many small freerolls instead of one large one, not only from the BRM's daily schedule but also from the sites point of view, as most will pay a cash game or another torney while paying in the freeroll.

Maybe skore could add a poll so we can all agree without posting +1 ( or it's equivalent )

I too am guilty of registering and then not playing mainly because I register and then forget. I feel sure this is the case for most non-participants rather than them not been bothered.

Thanx Admin for changing this structure so quickly I'm sure it will make the freerolls much more enjoyable. I too will post some free back.

I think that's true in most cases, yes.

But hopefully with just a 24 hour reg. period, most people will remember - it's easier to remember what's going to happen in the next 24 hours, than in the next 7 days Big Smile

I wanted to play last weeks freeroll at mansion but I didn't look to register until on the day and it was already full. So I registered for this weeks instead. But I went to the cinema Wednesday night instead. I did not know my plans when I registered and to be honest I forgot until yesterday that I had missed it. So I too agree the reg time should be shortened. Even 24 hours is a bit much but still a big improvement.

Why 24hours before? make it 12 hours, or 4 hours, that should give 500 people plenty of time to register in my opinion, I also tend to forget about the tourney since I preregister like a week before :S

I completely forgot the tourney was yesterday, oops. It's already removed from the client, so can anyone who played in it let us know if it was full and what was it like compared to the previous weeks?

I wonder why you keep complaining about this.
Even with the 24hr registration the last freeroll in mansion poker had less than 300 players.
The ratio between playing and sit outs was less but that didnt change the things.
Cause no matter what at the end its about the same number of players playing the game.
I dont know about the other rooms.

I guess that skore was unlucky most of the times with the table situation (sit outs)
but i bet he wouldnt be nagging if he was the only one in the table with all the rest sitting out Big Smile

I finally remembered to play the tourney yesterday. There were less than 200 participants, I think the exact figure was 168. It made both the prize pool and the tourney itself more interesting since the prizes were a bit more reasonable (I think 1st paid $27 which isn't a lot, but enough to start playing again) and there were less people sitting out. IYAM, the current system with less time to register is a lot better.

(PS: I've had tables where I've been the only one not sitting out, but it gets boring just to minraise every hand and you can't take a break in between hands to go to the toilet or anything if you want to maximize the profit during the first hour. Smile )

Yes, I´m agree with a shortest registration time.
The situation is beter now, but in my first table there were 8 sitouts
I think 1 or 2 hours for registration can eliminate all sitouts
