Everything seems to go Eric Baldwin's way at the moment. First he had a fantastic 2009 and won over $1.5 million in different live tournaments, then he was voted player of the year by one of the biggest poker magazines, then  Ultimate Bet asked him to join their team, which he gladly said yes to. His teammates at Ultimate Bet will now be some of the worlds best - Phil Hellmuth, Annie Duke and Brandon Cantu -just to mention a few.

Didn't become player of the year for nothing
2009 has been a great year for Eric Baldwin, and its not for nothing that he became player of the year. Just listen to this. He made it to 17 final tables in major poker tournaments and ended up winning 4 of them. However, the most notable win for Baldwin this year must be when he won Event #34 $1500 NL Hold'em in the 2009 WSOP and got his first bracelet.

We offer 30% rakeback at Ultimate Bet. Don't miss out on this great deal!

Waw waw waw, some nice performance from this player (i didnt knew til now). I think he deserves his title. Bravo !
For sure, he will soon be one of the legend that we see everywhere in poker (like Negreanu or Ivey)

One would expect that a good tourney player would sign with Pokerstars. Ultimate Bet must have given him a very lucrative deal.

looks likes he really deserves both his new sponsor and his player of the year title. 17 final tables and 4 wins is really impressive, good luck to him in his new team

Good for him player of the year is some big achivement as there are sooooo many players out there to choose from...but going to Ultimate bet????? not a great move i think.

Ultimate Bet definently offered him a better contract. Being able to sign new pro's to their site will go a long way to improving their image after the beating they took with the superuser accounts scandel.
I'm sure he's got the talent or else they wouldn't have tried to sign him.

Money calls money; he was able to realize his dreams, own a lots and now has a strong sponsorship. What else ? Charlize Teron ? Tila Tequila ? Eva Mendez ?

1.5 million , 17 final tables, WOW!
I think ultimate have to pay more than a FTP or PS to hire this player.
 ZmxPowah25/12/2009 08:58:09 GMT
Yea i think the same they needed to paid a nice cash to get this guy.... or nobody really care of him from the others sites Tongue , who knows ^^.
But thinking FTP take nearly all the players who can play poker Tongue it's rare to see someone sign with someone else.
