Trump Plaza hotel and casino: Abolishment of electronic poker tables

Trump Plaza hotel and casino in Atlantic City have been testing electronic poker tables for a couple of months now. But the outcome and the response from their players weren't as good as they had hoped for. So now after a couple of months of trying out electronic poker tables, they will be removed and good old tables and real dealers will shortly be back at the casino.

The advantages with electronic poker tables are many. For example the rake is much lower since there isn't a human dealer that need a wage and tips, less miss deals, less risk of people cheating, a faster game and also easier for beginners to learn the rules. The disadvantages are that it's not the same feeling as playing at a real poker table with a real dealer, and that everyone is sitting quite starring at their own monitor. With other words it removes the social thing with playing live at a casino.

14 tables are going out

Trump Plaza had 14 tables and the management had really high hopes for the electronic poker tables. But they could see only after a few months of trying that the older players and even the younger ones still liked the feeling of a real table more than with the electronic poker tables. The casino management could also see and feel that the atmosphere wasn't the same at the casino with the electronic poker tables.

Those electronic tables are doomed from the start. Why bother going to a casino and playing poker on a maschine? Everyone can have this at home.

The machine auto saves how much money u have in, so u don't got to worry about that.
Except the staff have to go to every person to reset the machine and so on.

I think electronic poker at a casino is a ripoff cuz a machine does all the work and casino gets rake, instead of paying a dealer to deal. Rather play online poker with lower rake, more ppl to play with from all around the world.

I prefer playing online Smile
