Scotty "The Prince of poker" Nguyen has earlier this year said that he will never play poker again if he doesn't manage to win more than $4 million in this year's World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. Now Scotty has revealed what he will do with the winnings if he reaches his $4 million US dollars goal in WSOP 2009.
Today WSOP 2009 in Las Vegas kicks off. Scotty will try to play in 20 events, because he assumes to go far in all these events and therefore he won't have time for more events. Scotty made it clear earlier this year that if he doesn't manage to win $4 million dollars in WSOP 2009, then he won't play poker again. But what will he do if he actually manages to win $4 million dollars in WSOP 2009?
- "I will buy 15 houses next to each other on my own street in Las Vegas - The Scotty Win Estate. One must have dreams as a poker player you know, else there is no idea to sit down at a poker table"; says Scotty Nguyen in an interview with a poker site.
I wonder if he can do it. He is a good player, but four million is a lot. Winning the main event is enough of course, but that is much easier said than done. What if he don't make it, will he really retire. Something I'm curious to find out.
Honestly I think that this player lost his mind some time ago! I do not doubt of his poker skills. But nowadays he is playing like a donkey and unfortunately for him thinking like a donkey! But I wish him luck. Maybe he can reach one final table in some event, maybe!
When i started to read this news, i thought he was going to donate a part to some charity institution, or help recovery poverty in Africa, and when i reach the end, my jaws just fall on the ground!!! "As a poker player, what would you dream about after winning $4MD? Buy a lot of houses!" I think im in the Twilight Zone right now...
