Annette Obrestad, the Norwegian poker pro, has been in the spotlight since she took home the WSOPE Main Event back in 2007. The buy-in for Event 4 was AUD$1000 and the game was Pot Limit Omaha. Annette made it to the final table third in chips, but in no-time she was the chip leader and remained there until she had sent her final opponent packing.

Final table results:
1: Annette Obrestad - $40,000
2: Billy Seri - $31,200
3: Ryan Gutch - $22,800
4: Oliver Gill - $17,600

I only heard of her through BRM, but she looks a pretty little girl who uses the scheme of sitting in the table, full of guys with head covered and glasses and, without being much noticed, eliminates one after another till she gets loaded with chips and then, at that time, people start looking and asking: "hey, how did you get all those chips?". She really has that type of face!

Fakiry, you are missing one important point: she is agressive as hell. A very scary opponent to be on your table.
I saw the WSOPE show on TV and she is a true poker devil, not a baby doll.

Who wouldn't notice a player like that?

That's true, i also saw the WSOPE show. He played extremely agressive, but there she had lots of luck too, she should've been elimineted before the final table, but she sucked out.
But i think she is a good player! Club

Yea Annette is actually a really good player, seen her a couple of times on the TV & her plays are always well thought out with timed but relentless aggression! Probably one of the best female players out there, alot more impressive than Harman, Tilly & the likes of.

She was 17 when she won in 2007. There's no doubt that she'll be on of the greats of her generation.
