High Stakes: Durrrr loses BIG

Tom "durrrr" Dwan is definitely one of the world's best headsup omaha players, but sometimes there are opponents that just gets the better of him. Last year at the same time of the year, it was the phenom "Isildur1" who beat him for several million dollars over a short period of time, and now the young American may have found a new nemesis.

At least yeasterday he received outright beatings by the anonymous "Cadillac1944" in a PLO $ 500 / $ 1,000 session. When the match ended "Dwan" was left with zero U.S. dollars in front of him, and "Cadillac1944" left the table with astronomical $965,000.

Cadillac1944 had the small blind and raised to $3000, durrrr re-raised to $9000. Cadillac1944 called.

Tom Dwan sometimes has a series of very large losses. I think this is a momentary break the mold. If Cadillac1944 will continue to play with Durrr it in the end lose big money.

Durr was just very unlucky this time loosing to an unknown player. well i hope he can recover from this loss...

this kind and style of play is high variance, and at this level, all players know the maths... BUT , on FTP the highstack tables could be fake, just show, just marketing... who knows for sure?

I guess after winning that huge amount of money in the chinese live games Dwan can afford to lose a bit online. And with his hand he has to get it in.

losing 6 buy ins is nothin for the likes of durrr and is all part of the normal varience every player will experience in poker.

Especially on Omaha by playing it loose-agressive style like Durrr.
Anyway Durrr is making sometimes really lame play but like everybody. But even lame things make sense by building image.

That's PLO. The sickest high variance game available top play. On nosebleed stakes it can be a painfull game, the already high variance skyrockets easy there with so many skillfull players.

i suggested before that it wouldnt surprise me if they are actually just playing for far less by making it seem asif theyre playing for all that gains more customers wanting on f/tilt to see and possibly play,i wouldnt be surprised if they both agreed a deal over say100 hands and overall winner gets say100k,either way its still alot of money but would it realy surprise u if they had done that?because its all win-win for them especially as its their friends who run f/tilt and theres nothing better than 2have e1 talking about the site,its a marketing ploy,lol!

again and again if u was on the wining way and start loosing its meean short break needde but durr never do that he plays nervouse games loose and loose every sesion until goes really on low stake

this is expected with his crazy super aggressive playing style. he cant win everytime that way. and as for new nemesis this is just one session lets see if this continues any further.

lol must be the winter blues for Dwan again,is this gonna be an annual thing? durrr looseing mills near xmas lol? Pocket change for him tho,will just fly to maccau and win afew mill in a week Smile
