Superstar Showdown - part 2: Daniel Negreanu hungry for revenge

Tags: daniel negreanu, high stakes, isildur1, pokerstars, superstars showdown, viktor blom.
Posted on 24 March 2011 by "T".

On Sunday it's once again time for Viktor "Isildur1" Blom and Daniel Negreanu to sit down with $150,000 each at four $50/$100 No Limit Holdem tables and play 2,500 hands (or until someone has lost his entire bankroll). What can we expect from this match? Daniel Negreanu, who lost the previous match in just 1439 hands and wrote on twitter that he was extremely unlucky, is very hungry for revenge and probably better prepared this time.

Viktor "Isildur1" Blom has been playing extremely good since the win last Sunday and with the confident he has right now he will be a tough opponent for Negreanu - even if the poker gods side with him this time. Ladies and gentlemen, this will be a game to remember for a long time, so don't forget to log on to PokerStars on Sunday and check out the Superstar Showdown!

The Poker Stars poker table massacre. Part 2. Negreanus style for cash games is out of sync with the modern game. He needs to get verrry lucky to take revenge.

Like I've said before, Daniel doesn't have the "online" skills needed to beat this guy. Put them both on a table face to face and see who wins. My $$$$$ would be on Daniel in that senario.....

I must agree completely, Daniel far better in live than online, Blom the
opposit. I will watch though, maybe Negreanu comes up with a new gameplan.
He surely needs one after last week. Cool

If Daniel looses again against Blom, this can mean an extremely hard cut on his ranking in terms of carreer. Even if this means a low value in terms of weekly ranking of winnings and losts, loosing two times with Blom put him lower in the middle of the bigs, and Blom gets higher in the general ranking. Should be nice to watch, let me put the date on my calendar Smile

Daniel wrote also that Blom is a better player.
Well - I guess that Isildur have more expirience in Heads Up.

Anyway - its harder to read other players in online game.
I like live games the most.

negreanu is my idol!

Daniel is no match for Viktor in my opinion, Viktor is the modern poker player and Daniel is an oldtimer, so I think that Viktor will be victorious again.

Daniel got to change his game and be more aggressive if hes gonna have any chance against isildur. otherwise its gonna be another brutal spanking of daniel while isildur screaming " you like it, Fish? " Tongue

that´s it. Daniel´s skill to read the opponent sometimes really is phenomenal and what is making his poker profitable. But online this is just really hard to do.

I only saw the last 100 hands or so, but wow, Daniel seemed to have figured out what Issac Haxton did. He won this rematch by like $11K, but still, Izzy SLAUGHTERED KidPoker last week . . . serves that pedophile right! lol Tongue

hm i think isildur1 has no idea of poker... .no fear... he dont know what money is and he dont cares about it.... thats why he wins.... he has no fear to put 200k in the middle just to bluff and get the 100k pot ..i dont like him

LMA0, that was just an (inappropriate, but funny) allusion to Negreanu's screename . . . KidPoker = child "poker", hahahaha, get it? Tongue I figured I'd catch some people off guard wit' that wun! Big Smile Big Smile Big Smile
