After Sunday's loss against Daniel Negreanu it didn't take long before Viktor "Isildur1" Blom was back on the nosebleed tables as he took on the Finnish poker pro Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies in three $25/$50 PLO matches. It only took Isildur1 745 hands to win $106,882 from Ziigmund. It was a well-needed win for the Swede who has lost some serious cash this year.

Ziigmund has also lost big this year and he also needs to make up for money he lost during 2010. In his blog, Ziigmund has complained about him being unlucky and that he has lost his interest for poker. Well, all players can have downswings and be unlucky at times but I doubt that his losing streak has anything to do with it. For example, in two of the biggest pots he played against Isildur1, he risked too much with bad hands and bad draws. Many people think that Ziigmund needs to take a longer break from poker and have a look at his own game before his bankroll is in danger.

Question: What do you think Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies should do in order to become a winning player again?

Ziigmund seriously needs to take a long break before he goes busto. There is always no shame in going down in stakes while he evaluates his game...he is gambling too much at the moment, maybe all along...just that now he is on the losing side...

This shows that Blom knows how to bring back his spirit from the dark, after loosing with Daniel Negreanu, again to brightness. Zigmund was the "victim", i dont know if he deserved to lost this way, havent seen the game, but sure Blom is now again ready to fight, who knows, again against Negreanu. "Want to go there again?" Smile

I dont think the DN loss bothers him in the slightest, DN took pennys, Isildur1has no fear, im quite sure people dont like him sitting at thiere table.
Ziigmund, well A.Stop dating all them hot women B. Move in with Durrrr C. Stop trying to beat players who are better than him.

i personally have observed isildur1's play, and he's insane. but he knows when to slow the f*** down. and you can see him do it in gigantic pots. and sometimes he throws his opponents down with this move with a very strong hand. and as for ziigmund. its oh so very clear what that means. if a player ever ''loses interest'' in poker and moves to omaha. suspend all accounts. move away from the table and go fishing at the beach. force a new (gamble-less) hobby. because to lose faith in poker. is to lose your patience. and many people get very violent when they lose there patience. so if you sat at a poker table. your beating up your bankroll. you dont need to know the players to know what is happening

Is Ziigmund still going? That guy has lost big time in the past and it looked like he stopped playing. But $25/$50 PLO? What a low stake. Shock

lol 25/50 are nosebleed stakes for pokerstars, they are still way behind fulltilt in highstakes cash games
but still isildur picked a nice target in zigmund, who just cant stop losing.

Dude, 10 bankrolls on 745, imagine that on real nosebleed stakes on fulltilt, at 500/1000

I actually saw a part of this match when they've played it, to the end Ziigmund was seriously tilted and max raised every hand. On the first 10-20 hands Isildur didn't followed his game but after this short period he wa re-raising Ziigmung's bets and with a bit of luck he took some nice pots after going all-in.
Indeed, the largest PLO tables on Pokerstars are the 200/400 tables. Also they added 50/100 PLO Isildur heads up tables recently.
