What a thrilling end of Event #47: Omaha/Seven Card Stud Hi-Low-8 or Better! Michael "the Grinder" Mizrachi and Owais Ahmed played heads-up for the first place prize of $255k and the coveted gold bracelet. "the Grinder", who you might recognize from High Stakes Poker and the 2010 WSOP Main Event final table, enjoyed a 3 to 1 chip lead, and also he had his entire family, a few friends and fans on the rail cheering for him. Apart from that, he had most experience from playing final tables under high-pressure.

But as we all know, anything can happen in poker. And so it did. Ahmed played the best poker of his life and suddenly he had overtaken the chip lead from the Grinder, who almost seemed to be in chock. Once Ahmed was in the lead, nothing could stop him from laying hands on the title and the first prize of $255,959. The runner-up, Michael Mizrachi, received $158,148 for his efforts. He must be very disappointed that he missed out on his second bracelet.

getting knocked out this way after having big chiplead from a wannabe must be frustrating for mizrachi, but nothing you can do when cards not falling right for you.
