Last week, Maria Ho wrote history when she finished second in the 2011 WSOP $5k NLH event for $540,000. Even thought she didn't make it all the day to the title, the prize money was enough for her to become the women with the single largest cash at a Stateside WSOP event. In total, she has now cashed 9 times at the WSOP with her previous biggest score in 2007 Main Event where she finished 38th for $237,865.

Maria Ho is a 28-year-old poker pro, who was born in Taiwan and moved to U.S. at the age of 4. Her interest for poker started in college. By the time Maria graduated from UCSD in 2005, she had gone from playing low limit to high stakes cash games and decided to play poker for living.
