The high stakes games at PokerStars are getting wilder and better every day, and last night many got to witness the biggest pot ever played on the site! The record pot took place on a $200/$400 table and it was Ilari Sahamies,  "Skjervoy" and "bernard-bb" who created it. Below you can see how the hand was played out.

Ilari FIN bet 1,400, Skjervoy and bernard-bb called.

Flop came out KSpade2Heart3Spade

bernard-bb was first to act and he checked. Ilari FIN bet $4,595, and Skjervoy raised to $18,380. bernard-bb and Ilari FIN called. The turn card was the 9Heart and both bernard-bb and Ilari FIN checked. Skjervoy went all in for $10,428, and bernard-bb raised to $91,019. Ilari FIN called. The 3Heart landed on the river. bernard-bb went all in with his remaining $84,810 and Ilari FIN called.

And looking at this hands, i cant figure what could Skjervoy have in his hand to keep playing so hard. Perhaps he made a three of a kind at the flop, or two pairs hoping to get a full house... Very well played by Sahamies he didnt had much trouble, just waiting for the cards, starting with top pair and finishing with top flush, earning more than $400K, brilliant and hilarious. Someone could ask him "so how do you feel after this great conquer" and he could answer "i don't know what it happened, i just called".

This is the biggest pot but for pokerstars, the pots we were used to see on full tilt poker were a lot bigger than these one...

Isi actually won a 1.1 million dollars pot on full tilt poker vs phil ivey in a pot limit omaha heads up game, and the day before than he lost a 1.3 mil pot to patrik antonius...

Still, it's good to see pots get bigger Big Smile

after a horrible start this year, ilari sahamies is having some good runs at pokerstars. and regarding the pot, action is getting bigger at pokerstars and i think they'll break the fulltilt record soon.
