Many well-known players didn't survive the third day of the Main Event and the tournament is now down to only 24 players. Melanie Weisner, the Day 3 chip leader who was very confident of a deep run, is not among these 24 players, nor is the Day 1b chip leader Mads Wissing from Denmark.
There are still some pretty interesting players who made it through the day though. For example: the American poker pro and Day 1a and Day 2 chip leader Steve O'Dwyer with 423,500 chips, and the reigning EPT Copenhagen Champion Micheal Tureniec from Sweden with 294,500.
Pierre Neuville, the former PokerStars Qualifier of the year (Season 6), will lead the way into Day 4, which starts in a few hours. Neuville started Day 3 with 221,300 chips and turned it into amazing 780,000! Aggressive and brutal poker, a little bit of luck. Those are the main ingredients in Neuville's Day 3 success. Now we'll just have to wait and see if he can keep up the good game in Day 4 - when the final table is just around the corner. The future will tell.
