WPT Grand Prix de Paris: Gruissem Leads For The Second Consecutive Day

When 63 players sat down at the tables and Day 3 kicked off, the tournament director had a plan to get as close to 12 players as possible. But in the end there were still 24 remaining players, and the man with the biggest pile of poker chips was the same as when the day started, Philipp Gruissem.

With 1,060,000 chips Gruissem has about 100k more than his closest opponent Matthew Salsberg and more than 3 times the average stack. It will be interesting to see what poker stars such as Theo Jorgensen, Juha Helppi and Joe Serock will do to stop Gruissem during Day 4. If Gruissem continues to play this well he will definitely make it to the final table with a healthy stack.

We will be back with another brief update tomorrow!

And looks like Faraz Jaka, Jason Mercier and David Benyamine (the best known names I remember of taking part in this event) aren't there anymore to struggle for the top. Things don't always run the way players hope, but Philipp Gruissem must be flying high at this time, leading for two consecutive days. Will he keep that position til the end?
