Henrik Johansson, a online high-stakes professional, is the latest champion at World Poker Tour Europe in Paris! The 21-year-old Swede had more than a quarter of the chips in play when the final table of Event #2: €1,100 NLH Re-Entry kicked off yesterday. Johansson didn't stay in the lead throughout the final table, but he never let go of his big stack and always made the correct decisions, which was enough to earn him the title, a gold bracelet and €129,700 in cash!

According to WSOP's website, Johansson beat the second-largest WSOPE field in the series' seven-year history. Other interesting facts are that it was his first-ever live tournament and that he won his entry through a raffle on 888 Poker. It will be interesting to see if he decides to play more live tournaments from now on.

1st: Henrik Johansson - Sweden - €129,700
2nd: Andreano Torre Grosso - France - €80,250
3rd: Yanik Botbol - France - €58,860
4th: Daniel Weinman - USA - €43,772
5th: Serge Ekert - France - €32,992
6th: Daniel Laidlaw - Australia - €25,190
7th: Jose Obadia - Spain - €19,498
8th: Jean-Philippe Tuffery - France - €15,285
9th: Andrei Konopelko - Belarus - €12,134

Swedes are really great at tournaments. Some take down for a 21 year old and in it through a raffle lol. Nice.

I think i heard about this kid on a email that 888 poker sent but i have no idea what is his username on 888 poker??

Even if the prize doesn't seem to be that big is pretty okay considering the buy in was only 1100 euros.

the amount of top swedish players out there is pretty unbelievable. these young kids coming through from there like Blom and now Johansson is frightening. It must have something to do with the cold winters and they are staying in on their laptops all day!
