Henrik Johansson, a online high-stakes professional, is the latest champion at World Poker Tour Europe in Paris! The 21-year-old Swede had more than a quarter of the chips in play when the final table of Event #2: €1,100 NLH Re-Entry kicked off yesterday. Johansson didn't stay in the lead throughout the final table, but he never let go of his big stack and always made the correct decisions, which was enough to earn him the title, a gold bracelet and €129,700 in cash!
According to WSOP's website, Johansson beat the second-largest WSOPE field in the series' seven-year history. Other interesting facts are that it was his first-ever live tournament and that he won his entry through a raffle on 888 Poker. It will be interesting to see if he decides to play more live tournaments from now on.
