Event #8: €25,600 High Roller, the final bracelet event at the 2013 WSOPE in Paris, kicked off yesterday and attracted 75 entrants. The first day lasted for six levels and approximately 62 players made it through the day. Canada's Sorel Mizzi will be leading the way with 268,800 chips to the second day, and not far behind are big names such as Scott Seiver (248,200), Antonio Esfandiari (229,000) and Phil Ivey (182,800)

The cards will be back in the air at 1.00 PM local time and registration will remain open for the first 5 levels, so hopefully Phil Hellmuth will join in on the action and take a shot at bracelet number 14!

The big game!
Does anyone know when the first high rollers started happening? Seems a relatively new thing, I could be wrong, I've been wrong before, once in 1992.

The buy in is not that impressive when you think that this is a high roller event but the names it attracted it must be a really fun event to watch Big Smile

Scott lately made some very good matches both live and online but again you have Ivey and probably PH that are also top players.

this is a relatively low buy in for a high roller and i am surprised that there is only 75 entries. sorel mizzi is a great player and i have enjoyed watching him in many televised poker tournaments. good luck to everyone i think they will need it with the list of names playing!
