Dan Shak To Host Charity Event

Hedge fund manager and poker pro Dan Shak will be hosting the annual "All In for Kids" charity poker event on Thursday. The event will be held at the Mandarin Oriental in New York and will be filmed for national television and air as a part of a future World Poker Tour broadcast on Fox Sports Net.

In addition to wealthy CEO's, celebrities and athletes, poker pros including Vanessa Selbst, Mike Sexton and Phil Hellmuth will participate in the tournament. The event has raised more than $4.3 million over the past five years. All money raised will be donated to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Well, that's a great thing to do, doesn't matter if he has a tonne of money or not, its what you do with it that counts and use your influence.
It seems a tonne of people and charities are doing a lot for the Phillipines which is great - as a lot of the island is literally flattened.

It's awesome that they are doing poker charity event for kid's hospital. That being said I do the same for my local children's hospital. Been doing that for last two years now going on my 3rd trip there. Keep it up to keep kid's dream come alive.

Sounds like an interesting event but most of all is always good that they also think on charity!

I think except natural disasters charity that is focused on kids is the best way to support the future. Thumbs up for them!
