The final table of the 2013 World Poker Tour bestbet Open main event concluded yesterday. Mike Linster came into the final table with the second largest stack and played extremely well until he had advanced to heads-up against David Bell, who started the day in third chip-position.

Bell was in the lead with about 2 million chips when heads-up play began, and Linster was close to being eliminated 2 times during the match but doubled up both times to bring back the chip counts to even. The match lasted more than 100 hands (longer than the rest of the final table combined) before a winner finally was crowned...

Hand 180
Bell raised to 400,000 and Linster reraised to 1 million. Bell moved all in for 3,775,000 and Linster called with AHeartQDiamond. Bell turned over 8Diamond6Diamond and was behind.

The flop came JSpade5Heart2Club and kept Linster ahead. The turn card 4Diamond gave Bell a few more outs, but the the 10Diamond completed the board and he was eliminated in second place for $175,512. Linster received $321,521 and a $25,000 seat into the WPT Championship for taking down the tournament! Linster now has $772,817 in live tournament earnings!

Final table results:
1: Mike Linster - $321,521
2: David Bell - $175,512
3: Danny Schechter - $115,311
4: Pete Chwala - $79,619
5: Pete Tinnesz - $58,754
6: David Diaz - $46,673

Congratulations to Mike Linster, winner of the WPT bestbet open and newest member of the WPT Champions Club.
After a fast-moving final table that took just three hours to reach heads-up play, Linster found himself locked in a 111-hand, three-hour battle with David Bell where neither player was willing to give up a pot without a fight. In the end though, Linster prevailed and earned a payday worth $321,521, including a $25,500 entry to the upcoming WPT World Championship at Bellagio.

Despite four players falling in under three hours, it took almost eight hours for the WPT bestbet Open winner to be crowned.
At the start of the final table it was David Diaz who hit the rail first after his desperate shove with QsTd was unable to overcome Danny Schechter's pocket kings.
