Welcome mobsters, if you are reading this blog for the very first time, I thank you for your initial interest. I think that if you give it a little time, you will find something that will peak your interest.

I am a semi-pro poker player and an author. I am currently working on several projects for publication, and will be discussing them on occasion in this blog. If you are a fan then I warn you, from time to time there will be spoiler book ideas discussed.

Section 1: Poker Tips & Concepts
Think about turning off the automatic rebuy feature on your poker table when you a grinding on multiple tables at once. The reason for this is so that you can keep better track of your overall loses if you find yourself in the middle of a downswing.

It also only take a couple of suck out loses which you do not see happen because you are busy dealing with a different table to lose significant amounts of your bankroll without your even noticing. I know this idea might seem crazy to some of you but I know it happens to a great many players. I too have fallen victim to this covert cash drain on ones bankroll.

I did not turn of the auto rebuy feature and it was only after I stop playing my session which was 3500 hands that I realized that I had actually lost an extra $21 USD.
Believe me when I tell you that, the last thing you want is to know you had been having a bad session, and then to find out like I just did it was much worse then you even realized.

I recommend turning off the auto rebuy option if you are multi-tabling and stacking the tables instead of the tile table option.

Section 2: A New Bankroll Challenge - Current Bankroll $96.22
Climb the Money Mountain $56 - $10000 USD
If you have read Blog post #34 then you already know I have been challenged by a friend to play on PartyPoker and to win on average just $5 USD per week.

Well I think it is time to give you all an update.
The challenge started on November 21st, 2014 and I have had my ups and downs. I went on tilt towards the end of November and was forced to take two full days off to get my head together, and then PartyPoker went down for maintenance and updates. I was unable to get onto PartyPoker for 3.5 days.
What does the mean really?

Well in November I actually only played 7 days not the 9 that were possible and so far in December I have only be able to play for 2 days. So 9 actual days of poker were played, if I had only played them days in a row I should have a total profit of at least $45 USD.

However this is day 14 of the challenge so in order to have maintained the overall true average I would need to be up $70 USD. I also want to let you know I lost $50 in the last 2 days playing on a NL 25 table.
My current bankroll is now $96.22 USD.

Yes that is a total of + $40 so I am currently falling a little short of my goal.

I recommend you all think about just setting a small daily goal for yourself to achieve. You can believe me when I tell you that every time you succeed at reaching your daily small poker goal you will feel great. It will not take long before this approach will grow my bankroll up enough to move up into the better stakes.

Will keep you informed as things continue to progress.
Wishing you all the best
be cool.
Ronin

I never like using the auto rebuy feature and i would rather rebuy manually, so i can keep better track of my losses. Good luck to you on your bankroll challenge and i look forward to your next blog

I always use rebuy to max. It sucks when you have a great hand, but only half of a buy in stack.
Just keep an eye on the balance in the main lobby, or check your tracking software.

Agreed

Continued GL with your challenge Ronin but I do what marqis suggests. It sucks when you totally outplay someone with only part of your starting stack.
