Day 1A, 1B and Day 2 are in the books at the World Poker Tour L.A. Poker Classics and there are now 172 players remaining from the 534 that entered the tournament. The remaining players are battling for a prize pool worth $5,126,400 - of which the the champion will take home an incredible $1,015,460!
Scott Blackman will bring the largest pile of chips (380,000) to Day 3. Blackman has finished with the chip lead two consecutive days and has 100k more than Daniel Steinberg in 2nd place. There are quite a few big names left in the competion, including Dan O'Brien (155k) Team PokerStars Pros Jonathan Duhamel (129k) and Daniel Negreanu (71k).
Play on Day 3 will continue until the money bubble bursts (the top 63 players will receive a min-cash of $18,970) or until 5 levels of poker have been played. We will be back with another brief update tomorrow!
