EPT Prague: Main Event Final Table Is Set

There are only six players left after 5 thrilling days of poker in Prague. Ilkin Amirov will lead the remaining players into today's final table with 9.9 million in chips. Amirov, who is the first person from the former Soviet Republic of Azerbaijan to make an EPT final table, slowly worked his was to the chip lead early on Day 5.

Once out in front, Amirov won one of the most spectacular hands in EPT's 12th season when his KK held up against pocket queens, pocket jacks and 98 of diamonds in a four-way all-in pre-flop pot! It was a pot worth nearly 10 million!

Amirov did well on Day 5 to say the least, nevertheless he still has a lot of work to do on today's final table where most of his opponents have healthy stacks (final table chip counts below). Check back tomorrow for a recap of how the final table played out.

Ilkin Amirov (Azerbaijan) 9,965,000
Gleb Tremzin (Russia) 7,785,000
Thomas Butzhammer (Germany) 5,490,000
Slaven Popov (Bulgaria) 3,640,000
Hossein Ensan (Germany) 2,725,000
Olivier Ferrero (France) 1,715,000

And it's not even on Jokerstars.
Wonder what the 98 guy was thinking about when he went all in.

Its not often you see a four way all in pot and its a rarity, in my experience, to see the best pre-flop hand holding up. Ilkin Amirov has a nice chip lead going into the final table and must have a very good chance of winning this

It was epic!
When the chain confirmed the all-in.
I personally endowed with that 98 will be a success, but the king stood. good show.

At that point he's had the least chance to actually take down this pot so I wasn't surprised his cards did not hold up.
